Got there at 9:30p. Quiet atmosphere. No lines outside the door. Prepping for opening. Had to enter through the exit door that you could manually slide. Guy asked me if I had an appt. I told him "yes", and went right in. Sat down, answered some questions, and signed the contracts. The guy who helped me accidentally got a 16GB as I noticed the back of the box. Told him I pre-ordered a 32GB, and changed it with no hassle. The box was still shrinked-wrapped, but the BB employee does open it up first to activate. Checked for any yellowish flaws. None. Thanked my lucky stars I don't have a dud (so far). Made some nice convo with them and was on my way. Definitely contrasting to to the time leading up to it. I'm also glad I pre-ordered at BB because I am not the primary on the AT&T account and don't live with my mom to take her all the way to Cerritos. I did need to call her briefly for her last 4 digits of her SS. Easiest 30 minutes of my life.
Then went directly to the grand opening of the Apple Store in Cerritos mall about 3 miles away. Saw a line that went outside the store. Waited only 5 minutes to get in because all I needed was a bumper. Got it and a free shirt. Hung around in the store for 30 min and then installed iPhone into bumper. Very easy install just like a rubber band. Best morning of the year for me.
Jas79, I did ask the guy how many they had in stock and he told me about 100 or so, but didn't tell me how many 16GBs and 32GBs there were. He did say that their BB wouldn't be able to fulfill all pre-orders. Good luck. When you finally have it in your hands, it truly is worth the wait. It's like a work of art in the palm of your hands. Feels solid and expensive. The previous iPhones feel like toys now. The metal band around the glass does feel a bit jagged and could chip away, but that's what the bumper is for. My phone is flawless and it looks great with the bumper. Thank you, Apple.
