Best Buy called me yesterday saying that they don't have my 32GB iPhone 4 preorder in stock yet. They guy said they are supposed to get a shipment at around 10-11am on launch and for me to call back. I called back, no more 32GB iPhone 4s. They said hopefully I'll get it tomorrow, but they're not promising anything.

I would have freakin' ordered from AT&T if I'd known that! My friend ordered two from AT&T and they were at his house yesterday.

This is why I never shop at Best Buy.

I got a call about one hour ago that my Best Buy Mobile just got their 32g's in. Picking up at 1:30

Where is this store located? I'm wondering if it will be common for more of the BB stores to get deliveries in today, tomorrow or the next couple of days.

I received a phone call from my BB yesterday stating that they didn't get my 32gb black one yesterday, but that I'm "next on the list". The guy who called sounded like he was going to tell me someone shot my puppy when he said, "I regret to inform you that we won't be able to fulfill your iPhone 4 preorder for launch."

I think I was 3rd, so they must have only received 2 of the 32s.

I'm not in a hurry to get my hands on my new iPhone4, but I am curious when they'll get their next shipment of them in.

Just picked up my 2, 16 & 32,, very nice.. Facetime not that bad, could use some work on lag. Could be the Wifi connection??

Yesterday Best Buy called me telling me they only received 16GB iPhones and I wouldn't get mine because I was 3rd in line for a 32 GB but they called me at 11:30 right now to inform me that they had received it and I could go activate it. I have it in my hands now. So there's hope for all of you :)

Well, here's a quick update.

Best Buy just called and said they got a new shipment today and I can come get it at 2pm.

My BB is in Minneapolis, btw.

Boo. I want mine. Oh well. Saving money at BestBuy due to my RZ certificates ($350) is more than worth the couple days/week wait, I suppose.

I'm in the same boat, I've been banking points for a while waiting on the right item to use them on and now is the time. I only have $165 in reward zone points and a $35 gift card, but its enough incentive for me to wait it out. I waited almost two years with my 3G, what's another week or so.

Got mine. Best Buy was so smooth and I was glad they had everything organized. They even had free coffee for the line, which wasn't even too long. The line consisted mainly of walk-ins trying to buy an iPhone, and there was a lady to the side taking appointments. She saw me and asked if I was a walk-in or had an appointment. I told her and I was bumped ahead and got taken care of. Between waiting a little bit in line and getting helped out, it didn't take more than 10-15 minutes, honestly. There was even an Apple rep there, and our closest Apple store is in San Antonio, four hours away. So that was cool, though I didn't talk to him. Anyway, it was a breeze. I'm glad I'm sitting at home now with my new iPhone! :D:apple:

I picked up mine today no problems.

I was expecting to pay $399 and tax because I bought the 3GS in February of this year. I came out of Best Buy paying $199 and tax. Nice!!!!!!!!

Also had a relatively smooth experience at BB. My appt was at 10:15, but I had a conference call at 9 I had to be on, so I got to BB at 9, finished my meeting at 9:45 and asked if I could do it early; which they did. My wife's was smooth, straight upgrade, full subsidy, was done in 10 minutes. Mine took longer as I added a line to get the subsidy then did the upgrade swap, but had to buy a cheap GO phone to activate on the new line ($30, no big deal). Only minor issue was they activated it on the new line first causing the sim to be no usable for my existing line and they didn't have any new ones. Went to the AT&T right near BB and they took care of it with no question (or cost) and now i'm good to go! At work, so havent' gotten to play too much, but the screen is AMAZING! Don't see any yellow yet and can't comment on the reception. Said they got 16 in total, (2 32 GB) and were expecting more today. ALso said after today, all their pre-orders should be fulfilled (except white). Overall it was a great experience!

Same thing happened to me. There must be a glitch in Best Buys system.

I was definitely suppose to pay $399 and ended up paying $199.

Received my call yesterday afternoon. My appointment is for 7:30 am. 90 minutes from now!!!

A definate Best experience! The store had 4 associates helping only that many customers at a time. We waited outside until the mobile manager came out with a clipboard to call names from the appointment list. I was done after 15 minutes and politely refusing their $15/month "insurance"
I bought the invisible shield. Best Buy wanted $12 to "install" it. I did it myself and it looks like CRAP. Lol

Where are you located?

Went to the Stafford, VA Best Buy location where I had reserved an iPhone 4 16gb last week on the 15th.

I did not recieve a call telling me that I had one reserved for me, so I went in anyway to find out what happened.

They told me that they only got 10 16gb phones and they had already been given out.

I figured as much and wasn't surprised with all of the comments with a lot of stores only getting 5 phones.

I was surprised though to see a store employee walking around the store showing off his new phone to other employees. I thought employees had to wait. Either that is not the case or he ordered online and had it shipped to him.

Anyhow it does suck that Best Buy didn't get what they were expecting to get.

It was a fall back plan for me as I tried all day to try and reserve one online and wasn't able to because of all the server issues that apple/at&t had. I guess my fall back plan didn't work, and I wasn't about to wait in line all night to get one. Guess I am on the waiting list now...

Oh and by the way, this phone isn't even for me... It's for my mom. She is almost 70 and I wasn't about to have her wait in line.

WOW. Im so glad I went and pre-ordered at Best Buy. I had my appointment scheduled first thing this morning at 7am and there was absolutely no line. I was in and out in no time. I looked around at the cases there and they were all horrible (rocketfish ones). So I went home to attend to some work.

At 1pm I went to the apple store to get a bumper and the line was STILL wrapped all the way around the friggen mall....I just strolled right in, picked up my bumper and was on my way :)

Appointment went off without a hitch. Got their 10 mins early, they started the process anyways. Was in and out within 10 mins. This is the 2nd year I've gone through Best Buy with zero problems.

I'm not saying that the process is smooth at every store but at the Orange, CA store on Chapman, it's been a pleasure.

SOO glad to be back on an iPhone. The tinker toy temp phone I was using was driving me crazy.

Well I guess someone was listening... Just got a call from Best Buy. Additional phones showed up today. I am happy that my mom is getting one today.

Good luck eveyone.

Anyone know if they are taking reservations for future shipments of iphones for people who haven't already reserved?

Flawless!

Pre-ordered for second time from Best Buy, I got a call on 6/23 to set-up an appointment for 6/24 at noon. Walked in sat down walked out 20 min later NO-Problems!! Went across to AT&T store did upgrade swap again 15 minutes later walked out, No-Problem!!:)

Got my bad news, they did not receive enough. She did not know about next shipment. Well Steve Jobs and best buy great job.......Specially BB screwing us for $50. i do not know what to do.....

Got there at 9:30p. Quiet atmosphere. No lines outside the door. Prepping for opening. Had to enter through the exit door that you could manually slide. Guy asked me if I had an appt. I told him "yes", and went right in. Sat down, answered some questions, and signed the contracts. The guy who helped me accidentally got a 16GB as I noticed the back of the box. Told him I pre-ordered a 32GB, and changed it with no hassle. The box was still shrinked-wrapped, but the BB employee does open it up first to activate. Checked for any yellowish flaws. None. Thanked my lucky stars I don't have a dud (so far). Made some nice convo with them and was on my way. Definitely contrasting to to the time leading up to it. I'm also glad I pre-ordered at BB because I am not the primary on the AT&T account and don't live with my mom to take her all the way to Cerritos. I did need to call her briefly for her last 4 digits of her SS. Easiest 30 minutes of my life.

Then went directly to the grand opening of the Apple Store in Cerritos mall about 3 miles away. Saw a line that went outside the store. Waited only 5 minutes to get in because all I needed was a bumper. Got it and a free shirt. Hung around in the store for 30 min and then installed iPhone into bumper. Very easy install just like a rubber band. Best morning of the year for me.

Jas79, I did ask the guy how many they had in stock and he told me about 100 or so, but didn't tell me how many 16GBs and 32GBs there were. He did say that their BB wouldn't be able to fulfill all pre-orders. Good luck. When you finally have it in your hands, it truly is worth the wait. It's like a work of art in the palm of your hands. Feels solid and expensive. The previous iPhones feel like toys now. The metal band around the glass does feel a bit jagged and could chip away, but that's what the bumper is for. My phone is flawless and it looks great with the bumper. Thank you, Apple.

Pretty much the same exact experience like yours today, just different times.

*high fives*

Still smiling from ear to ear how this phone is so flawless and how easy and fast we got it at BB as well as the bumper at the Apple Store today. Hassle-free.

In, out, hello, goodbye...
