For Those who Pre-Ordered their iPhone 6S/6S Plus via BestBuy online or in store, what was your experience? What dates did you get? What did you select? Order Status?

As I posted yesterday, I went online the morning of the 12th to preorder the Rose Gold 128gb 6s+ for pickup in the local Best Buy store. The 25th came, and at 7:30pm I received an email saying, sorry your orderer isn't available for pickup and that it should be within 30 days. When i called the store the next day, they said they had only received one 6s+ across all the carriers for the 25th release date and that they are expecting another shipment in a couple days. After another week of no pickup email, I called again yesterday to be told they still don't have any and that I should call everyday and that the further it gets from the release day the more likely they will have it because less people are buying the phones. I hung up and didn't question her logic. Being that mine was preordered, wouldn't you think I would be closer to getting mine than someone who walked off the street? Or maybe they are just counting on more people canceling their preorders. I don't know, either way, they can't give you any estimates on when to expect your phone.

I have the same issue. I stopped by Best Buy on Friday and spent about 45 minutes talking to the representative in the mobile department. He was unable to even find my online preorder (set for pickup in his store), so we ended up calling the assistant manager. The assistant manager was able to find my order, but he pretty much leveled with me: my order was going to be automatically cancelled on 10/23 if one didn't come in. He also could not see that any iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB Verizon models were in transit to his store nor to the warehouse. So he pretty much told me that I shouldn't hold out hope that I would receive my iPhone from Best Buy. The only reason I even ordered from Best Buy was because I used the mover's coupon for 10% off (saving about $40 off the retail cost...)

The problem is that it's hard for those of us who work in store to track or look into orders that were placed online. Even if those orders are for in-store pick up. Orders placed within the store are quite easy because we can look into the system to recall preorders.

Also the fact that Apple sent us MUCH less of the 6S Plus units than we expected isn't helping the matter.

All 6S Plus units across all carriers are unicorns for us company wide right now.

So the one week estimate on the bestbuy site has no chance of being correct ?

or you don't have an apple store and you want to get 22% cashback with Discover and Apple Pay

Discover was nice enough to give me the 10% cash back bonus for my Apple Store 6S purchase via the card, just took a quick phone call to request before making the purchase. Great customer service.

Follow up....still no phone and the last person I spoke to was a bit snippy with me. I understand bestbuy workers really have no control over what is shipped so I stay pleasant when I call. Anywho, last Friday I call questioning the inventory. She asked my carrier and which phone I had ordered, she puts me on hold for 15 minutes and then asks me when I ordered it. When I explained I preordered it on the 12th, she got snippy and told me they only hold it for 3 days and then sell it to another customer. I explained to her that I never received an email stating it was ready and according to order status online, it's still in processing, not preparing. She further goes into this long drawn out speech about how they are in high demand and they can't go holding phones and again states they only hold ordered phones for 3 days. So do I not bother calling, just keep an eye out for an email and hope eventually I will get it? What further gets me is, the phone is still on sale on the website and states order, pickup in store October 14th. Did they pick this date out from a hat or a spinning wheel? So a person who ordered it online yesterday and chose pick up in store will have it the 14th, but me, who preordered the 12th, you have no clue???

I would recommend finding out when your store gets its trucks and call on those days since we have been getting most of our stock through that channel. The rep shouldn't of snapped at you,but we do have people calling all day every day and it gets exhausting at times but still no excuse to snap at a customer. The 14th is basically a day Apple has told Bestbuy when they can get the phones,it's a place holder date. But from what I've been seeing the phones are not getting to customers on time with the estimated time frames. What phone did you get?

6s plus, 128gb, Rose Gold

6s plus, 128gb, Rose Gold
That one is going to be the hardest to find. Out of all the phones we have gotten I have only seen one rose gold phone yet and it was only the 6S. You should get notified by email when the phone comes in,you should also get a phone call as well but it depends on how fast the stores are to call is the problem. I usually open so I call first thing in the morning that the phone is in.

If anyone in SoCal is looking for a 64 gig rose gold 6s+, I just got an email from best buy saying that they will have one for me to pick up on wednesday. I already found my 128 rose gold so if someone wants to buy it instead of me, they can have it.

Still no call or email on my rose gold preorder 6s. I already picked up the phone a week ago but I am intrigued when I am going to get the call.

According to online availability they are saying the closest Apple Store has no 6s plus' in. And to order online will take 3-4 weeks delivery. If I sit back and wait, I may have the one I want before Christmas.

Unless something DRASTICALLY changes with our inventory levels I'd say probably not

I got mine in less than 1 week after ordering it a rose gold 64 gig 6S plus . Call me shocked and amazed at Bestbuy and also they had very good customer service when I picked it up :)

I was finally able to pick mine up yesterday (I changed my order to a Best Buy mobile store a few days ago.) They even let me switch the order so I could pay with Apple Pay and get the 10% bonus. Very (unexpected) good service from Best Buy.

Don't you mean 22% cashback bonus ?

As far as I know (and I haven't been following this super closely), 22% is only for certain cards (like the Discover it card.) I have an older card that only nets me 10%, as there are no other bonuses that I can add according to my account.

Why not just cancel the preorder with them? They are the worst every year and never will change. I still have no idea as to why people bother with BestBuy. What an awful experience.
