In store Pickup or ship?

I pre-ordered on September 12 for in store pickup and I still haven't received any correspondence since the delay e-mail on Friday. Based upon the attention to detail I've experienced from Best Buy in previous experiences I'm a bit concerned that even if they did receive my order that they would fulfill walk-ins first.


I would definitely call an bug the **** out of them maybe people should post there location

Site is New Jersey - Garden State Plaza, Paramus, NJ location.
Its a pretty big location and I called them several times, their sales ppl have no idea what's going on, no idea when it will come in.

I'm in San Diego (east lake) I've never seen the parking lot full at my local bestbuy an they had a full cabinet of iPhones 6s & +'s
 
Might want to just go up there and check. I know they had mine tucked away in a locked cabinet, so they weren't going to sell it to anyone else. Now, if I don't go get it by 10/2, they give it away, but that's fine.
 
I stopped in Friday morning and they told me that they didn't receive any iPhone 6s Plus models (which is what I ordered), but that they were "in transit" and could arrive Friday, Saturday, Monday or Tuesday. So basically any day between now and when the next iPhone launches. Anyway, they said to just wait for a call or e-mail. I guess I could keep calling, but it seems like I would get notification from bestbuy.com ...

Anyone know where I can get a 6S+ at a bestbuy in LA? Mine is defective & I need to swap
 
I am also considering swapping mine for more storage.
Calling the store is futile, the person answering the phones say they are all backordered until the end of October but if you walk in the store, they have lots of boxes in the cages behind them.
 
Went to my Best Buy at lunch, the same one the person on the phone said they were all sold out, must have had 100 S models of all shapes and sizes.
 
Called the Waynesville, NC Best Buy store today (which is the store I submitted to pickup my pre-order at) and the person who answered the phone took my number and said that someone from mobile would call me. Maybe I need to start being more aggressive, but if they don't have a phone then they don't have a phone...
 
Just picked up AT&T iphone 6s that I reserved from a Best Buy store. I paid in full price. I haven't opened it yet.

How can I check if it is locked or not? Based on this thread, it looks like it's probably locked even if I paid in full. is there a way to check its locked status without a working sim card? I don't currently have a working sim card to try.

Just picked up AT&T iphone 6s that I reserved from a Best Buy store. I paid in full price. I haven't opened it yet.

It's locked, if you have a family member or know someone with an AT&T Nano Sim, then they can unlock it and it takes about 5 minutes. Otherwise you will have to sign up for an AT&T account.
 
Question for those who got the price adjustment in the stores:

Does your pickup receipt actually say you have refund like -$50 or ($50)? Or perhaps you received a separate receipt in addition to the pick up receipt indicating the refund?

I asked for the price match when I picked up the phone yesterday at the store and after some difficulty -wouldn't price match with apple.com since they don't show the model number on cart, but able to with ATT.com-, I got it.

However now looking at the pickup receipt again, not really sure if I actually did get the refund for the difference. As it was pick up in the store after reserving online (not the pre-order, though, I reserved it after the launch date), my credit card had been already processed and charged the full amount ($855.99). But on the pickup receipt, instead of refund of $50 or $53.50 (w/ adjusted tax), I only see the updated total and "adjusted amount" below it. When I go to the order page on the website, I see the the same updated order total, but there is no record of refund anywhere. Does "adjusted amount" on the pickup receipt mean refund and this amount will be going back to my credit card?

Again the confusion is due to the fact that I already paid. My concern is that I won't get the refund and when i go to the store again, the record will just show that I paid what the new updated total on the order says instead of what I actually paid without me getting the refund in difference.

I think it comes a few days after you purchase
 
So it's now the 3rd and still no iPhone from Bestbuy. I preordered a 128gb rose gold 6s+ for in store pickup early morning on the 12th. I placed the order online, but after this I now know never preorder a phone from them again. How is it they have no clue when shipments come in???
 
Only reason to ever preorder from Best Buy (fill in 3rd party retail store like target/staples etc) is that you have reward gift cards to redeem.

Other than that. Stick with Apple or your carriers.
