Spigen yellow (my 7 plus did in about 3 or 4 weeks) and their new button design is poor IMO.

Ive tried clear TPU cases and never been happy. You can always see every speck of dust under them or that got into the openings in the case and it looks gross/dirty.

Damn. Thanks for this video. I’ll be returning the Spigen. Why would they do this? Does it look like dirt can get it in via the slits? This is like the Neo Hybrids that have two holes at the bottom of the back clear panel — why?

The holes maybe tight to the phone but movement in pocket, etc. will let dust/grit in.
Yeah there is a hole for the camera and mute switch but the less entrances for phone marking particles the better.
[doublepost=1509278076][/doublepost]As I've mentioned, this is my fave choice of clear case. The ESR Crystal Clear Slim.

No love for ringke? Have their equivalents to the liquid crystal and ultra hybrid and they seem slimmer than the spigens and with a simpler design so they look less bulky overall

My choices are down to the Ringke Air or the Spigen Liquid Crystal (from Amazon), or ordering a Lucid Clear direct from Caudbe.

This may be the endorsement I needed :D

Clear case...

Yeah, clearly a case of not reading the thread topic ...

I have the ESR on my 8 Plus, but thought I would try Spigen again. I’ll be sticking with ESR.

I'm looking for a case that will protect my phone if it's dropped but will also show how great it looks. I have a solid case on the back of the 10.5" iPad Pro. It protects it without a problem but I don't like the buttons. I have to really push down on them if I want to turn the volume up or down. I don't want to have to deal with that with my iPhone. I use an Otterbox case on my iPhone 6. I've been very happy with it. The case protects the phone and is mostly clear in the back. I'd like something that shows more of my new phone.

Power Support Air Jacket (when it’s released).

Only option for me.

are they even going to bother? not a peep on their site whatsoever about the x, or even 8, even if for the 8 its just to update the 7 cases to say they fit.

Check their Twitter replies—they stated the X case should come out near the release date. Which may or may not be accurate, knowing PS.

I kind of get the feeling they’re on the verge of going out of business or something. They’re not very active on any social media and they don’t seem to push their products very much. Also, they haven’t had their products in Apple stores for a minute now. Seems like they’re living off their former reputation and not trying to grow.

Picked up a $5 shamo clear case.
Wife has one for her 7+. Likes it. Got it for her for her silver X. She likes these because it’s “squarish” around the edges.
A bit better grip.

I picked up a luvitt transparent black for my SG X

Anyone with a Caudabe Lucid Clear from a previous phone that can speak to the lip on the bottom of the phone/case? Seems like that would be a real dealbreaker for the X and the swipe home gesture.

I think you are probably thinking of the older Silicone cases which were useless. These are made of TPU material and are excellent and do not loosen at all. I've been using Spigen clear cases for all my past generation iPhones because I like to still be able to see the original intended design. I have had no problems at all with them. Highly recommend.
They only thing I am not fond of is bumper cases, I just like the thin clear cases.
EDIT: Also, I just checked the new case I ordered" iPhone X Case Liquid Crystal - Crystal Clear
057CS22118"
and it's only .005 mm thick. You can use the to compare to other cases.

Is it slick or grippy? Also Black is on sale today 35% off for Halloween.

I want to have a couple of clear cases on hand and can't decide between these:
Ringke Air
Ringke Fusion
ESR Slim Fit
Spigen Ultra Hybrid
Otterbox Symmetry Series

Looking for a case that provides good protection against falls without scratching the stainless steel or the glass back. Suggestions are welcome.

Normally a Spigen fan but not this year. As others have mentioned the button covers are more like slits and leave a small a small opening for dirt and scratches. It's less noticeable on the clear case but I still don't like the functionality of the design. I believe the ultra hybrid has this but you may want to confirm. (I bought the liquid crystal and liquid armor)

I bought the ESR and it will probably be my go to. Seemed solid with normal button covers. Also fairly low profile which is what I was looking for. Excited to try it out.

Did you see the Caudabe that was mentioned in this thread? That also looks good but I went with a cheaper one from Amazon until more options were available.
