iPad Best Drawing App for iPad Pro and Pencil?

What's your favorite drawing app and how much does it cost? What are your favorite features?

I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but after looking at the works produced by other people, I bought ProCreate. It's dead cheap at $5.99, and I haven't even started to exhaust its features. You can do everything from a quick sketch to a full-fledged work of art.

Without any doubt, it is ProCreate. I am yet to find another app that can top ProCreate.

Of course, some depends on what it is you draw.
As an architect myself, I find Concepts a lot more useful for my kind of drawing.
Next, having no patience to polish my sketches, Paper by 53 is my favorite freehand drawing app.
Procreate has layers and brushes and what more, all of which distract me.

I use procreate a lot at the moment as I'm trying to learn digital painting, but I also use Adobe draw (vectors are what I'm used to) and Astropad if I'm working on my Mac.

Medibang paint is the only app comparable the something pro like clip studio that I've found. Art rage is nice too. Pro create gets in the way too much for me. Not sure why everyone loves it so much. My Instagram is basically all medibang paint. @Themikeroberts

Don't know about your arguments, but Procreate gets in my way because of it's numereous brush styles, layer options and what not. Easy to get lost in all those settings and not even get to the actual drawing. I prefer 53's Paper above Procreate because of it's simplicity and directness. I seem to open the app and start being creative, just like that.

ya, paper is great. My issues with procreate are that it tries to do too much. It feels like it's trying to make a pretty line for you - which is what makes it feel very pro-sumer - and ironically NOTES does it much better. Sketches 2 does the same thing. I'm sorta sticking with sketchbook pro and medibang and i'm very happy.

yes I think so too. It tries to provide too much with all those brush options. I appreciate the texture brushes and some of the paint brushes but for quick plain sketching Procreate doesn't really wow me that much. I'm with you on Notes being so much better, it is the closest of any app I've ever tried to real pencil and paper. Once I start to doodle in it I just can't seem to stop. Adobe Sketch is really nice too, now that it's got layer functionality. Autodesk sketchbook pro, too, is nice.

I 2nd the Concepts app for visual/product design type drawing/sketching. For vector graphic creation I also suggest Graphic. Closest you'll get to Adobe Illustrator on a tablet IMO.

I love ProCreate but you can not do any Impasto painting.
