What's you favorite keyboard? Fleksy? Swype? Swiftkey? Minuum? TouchPal?

Talk to me people!

I like swipe but it doesn't stay on the keyboard when changing apps. No option for full access. And no themes! Swiftkey works pretty well as a second.. would prefer other options besides blue detail for the black keyboard.

Honestly, for me it has to be the iOS default.
I still have more WPM with the default.

I bought Fleksy and i would love to use it more but i can't download the french keyboard (i'm not the only one with this problem).

Fleksy.

I tried it on Android but its layout was just too confusing for me. I loved SwiftKey on Android but when I got it on iOS, I felt a disappointment. Mostly the lack of any kind of feedback whatsoever.

I already had Fleksy tied to my account when I bought the original app, and so I downloaded it again and I decided to force myself to use it.

After using SwiftKey, Minuum, and Swype, Fleksy was the best keyboard for me. It may not have as many fancy features like swipe to type, but the prediction system is so amazing, better than SwiftKey's or iOS. It takes some time to get used to the layout and the gesture system but once you do you can type like a pro.

One thing I really hate...

Sure, I understand that passwords will default to Apple's own software. Seems reasonable and more safe.

However, when I use Gmail, and type a letter into the TO: field, it no longer pops up the selection of past recipients.

Other apps also fail to provide previous services, except via Apple's own keyboard.

That sucks the big wazoo.

Just noticed that in the twitter app, SwiftKey includes keys for @ and #, while Swype has them hidden a level.

Also, Gmail does not auto-suggest recipients with Swift Key or Fleksy either, all the them have Full Access.

Unacceptable really. Passwords and Credit cards I can understand. Gmail recipients? Inexcusable.

TouchPal was just updated to use the iOS shortcuts so I would imagine that feature will also eventually be added to the other keyboards as well. I also use Siri dictation a fair amount so if they could also incorporate that, then some of the third party keyboards could be a good option, but for now the Apple keyboard is the one that works the best for me.

I tried Fleksy as well. Honestly, it's amazing. I had decided on Swype before, but Fleksy is at least twice as fast, and more accurate too.

Small and compact, especially on iPhone 5S - it sucks less space from the App than the Apple keyboard.

And best of all, you can just stab away at the keys as you type, without paying much attention and Flesky almost always fixes every word! I tried a whole bunch of long phrases with silly words and things, and it was truly amazing.

The small size and the great correction of fast, inaccurate typing make Fleksy my definite keyboard of choice for now.

I really like touchpal since the update today. You don't need a separate emoji keyboard anymore. and have quickaccess to symbols.

After almost two weeks with third party keyboards and trying about 8 different keyboards, I can say that TouchPal is number 3.

The big problem I have is that for number 1 the battle is so close between Swype and Swiftkey, but definitely this two are the best so far.

I guess it will come down to the next two or three updates and just see which one did a better job in implementing new or cooler features.

Best Keyboard?

Like many others, I'm sticking with the stock keyboard until more bugs are ironed out.

Swift key is the best.

I started out using swype but what annoyed me was how the globe icon was hidden. I would have to hold the swype logo to access the globe key to change keyboard. Which leads to the 2nd problem
I had to constantly change keyboard from English and Spanish since it didn't support a Spanish keyboard.

And swift key allows me to use the same keyboard for both languages without changing keyboard. I just wish they would release more themes for the keyboard. But besides that swiftkey is the best

Tried Swiftkey and Swype, I really like Swype, it takes a little time to learn the shortcuts, but its more accurate than Swiftkey and I like the fact that I don't have to enable full access.

Is anyone else having the problem of Swype randomly just not putting up words into the text field unless switching to stock keyboard and then switching back?

I hope this is a bug fixable with an update - and not something that will only be solved with a fresh install - I just upgraded iOS 8 on top of iOS 7. To do a clean install of iOS 8 would take an entire day out of my life.

There's an option for full access on Swype. Go into Settings/General/scroll down and touch keyboards, then touch keyboards again on the next screen.

This is what I have shown:
