Agreed! I am curious though, what do you guys think about the difference between the cameras in that review (Tower of Terror pic)? The windows on that building as well as the trashcans on the foreground appear sharper on the 6 Plus. There is also less noise in the sky and ground as well. Is it negligible or worth the extra $100?

I think, like the reviewer mentioned, one should buy the plus for the screen and the battery, not the OIS. It comes down to those two pros vs the obvious con of the larger, less portable form factor.

Gee I can't wait to wait in lines at Disney in 6 months. Good thing I'll have my 6 Plus to pass the time :)

Was a solid review. Glad to hear the Plus battery survived 2 days at Disney. That's impressive!

My 6plus and my wife's 6 come in Friday - we leave for Disneyland Friday afternoon for 8 days.

This is the best review i could've possibly asked for!

Urgh.. off topic I know, but this rang so true:

"It’s tens of thousands of people packed into the same square mile, all using devices to do the exact same thing you are. The network is crushed, it’s bright and hot and you’re juggling kids and strollers and other vacationers."

This is why I've only ever been to Disneyland once... and I used to work for Disney with a free pass! :)

But yeah, good review.

Great review. The majority of my usage is what he was going for the 6 plus for so happy with that. Although I do message a lot however that's part of the trade off I suppose and I imagine I will get used to it.

I do like this review. I would just like to know a bit more about his experience with typing. When I moved to a larger phone 2 years ago, I did find that a larger phone makes typing more difficult. I generally type in landscape mode, so I found it harder to reach to the centre of the keyboard. Granted, that this particular reviewer may only type in portrait in which case it would not be such an issue.

Overall, I do like it and it does cover things that most people would be interested in such as the camera and battery life. It is interesting that the OIS does not seem to make much of a difference in those particular photos that the reviewer took. I would think that OIS would make more of a difference when taking videos. I recall the Nokia Lumina phones often highlight OIS on their phones and I have seen demonstrations of how video recordings look less jerky on a Lumina with OIS than on another phone without OIS.

Agree with everyone. Best review I've read so far. Just a very practical description of how the phones feel in everyday usage.

Seriously can't wait to try them both out on Friday.

Headed to Disneyland in early November, but even if I wasn't I still think this is one of the better reviews I've read. Totally sold me on the 6 Plus as well. Those test photos really show how OIS helps, and the difference in noise between the two is very apparent.

Thanks much for sharing this review. I read the whole thing and found it to be the best review so far. I'm also wondering about how typing is with the iPhone plus as well.

We're a Disneyland family, so this really made sense to me and was the first review where it all clicked.

I loved that he really broke down what he used each phone for. The flamewars in here over which one is "best" misses the point: they are both great phones that appeal to slightly different use cases. This review pointed that out brilliantly.

I liked this review. This is the way a review should be.

The one by Darrell Etherington was just a Apple PR pitch.

This is the review I was waiting for...and I just didn't know it. Like the writer, I don't love technology. In fact most of it intimidates the crap out of me. What I do appreciate is tech that works simply, effectively & all the time. I feel exactly as he does about Android...it always seemed "fussy" to me, not seamless & polished like the iPhone & iOS.

This very emotional and very "human" review just made up my mind as to what model iPhone I'll be trying to buy day after tomorrow...the iPhone 6 Plus.

Thanks to to the OP. Great read.

Great article. One of my favorite lines from it:

I used the iPhone 6 Plus for two days straight at Disneyland without charging it once and still had 16% battery life left. The iPhone 6 did very well too, with 32% left after a single day of use, but the 6 Plus was definitely a beast.

This is one of the reasons I went for the 6+

The iPhone 6+ may have good screen but it's going to hold the title of best smartphone screen for 0 days given the Note 4 comes out before it.

Best review I've read: iPhone 6 at Disneyland

The iPhone 6+ may have good screen but it's going to hold the title of best smartphone screen for 0 days given the Note 4 comes out before it.

Um....no. The iphone 6 plus comes out Friday. The note comes out in October.

If your going to troll and bash the iphone here, at least know what you're taking about.

Absolutely brilliant review. I felt a sudden burst of confident happiness in choosing the Plus during the read-through. It really put in to perspective how one isn't better than the other, but how both phones are pure preferential pieces. It still irks me a little to see "Thank God I didn't choose xxxxxx!!!" Because they're technically the same phone but tailored to suit two different types of personalities. Which - thanks to his detailed analysis - assured me the Plus was exactly what I needed.

Here's to another year of Apple 'Getting it right.'
