Are the powersupport anti-glare better than the crystal ones?

I thought the crystal ones don't even look like there is a screen protector on it...

This was true for me iPhone 1 - 3gs for me, but iPhone 4 scratches pretty easily IMO

It's called Oleophobic, comes on the phone from Apple.

In the form of a coating, with wonderful tactile feedback why cover it?

I've never experienced scratches, and it doesn't obscure the view.

My phones survived being dropped face down (that's why the word is accident)

And it's still absolutely flawless, pretty amazing really :)

Actually, I was thinking about this earlier today. I was thinking about getting the Power Support HD Anti-Glare ones that they sell at the Apple Store, however, I've read in reviews that it lowers the clarity of the retina display, so now, I'm not sure. :/

Now that we've had a few generations of iPhones', what have you found to be the absolute best screen (and back) protector?

Best one I've ever used that is clear and scratch proof, is Ghost Armour. There is usually a kiosk in front of the apple stores in malls. If no kiosk found, it can be ordered online. It's really good.

Wow, I was going to go with bestskinsever but after reading this post, looks like majority of people like Power Support.

When you say you are going with Power Support, do you prefer anti glare or the HD Crystal Clear ones?

Can anyone who has used the Power Support Anti-Glare clear up (no pun intended) any specific details regarding the loss of clarity thing?

I have the PowerSupport Crystal on my 4 and it is great. You can barely tell it is on there and it was easy to install. I had the matte finish one on my ipod touch and from the reviews it kinda takes away from the retina display so I avoided it.

Zagg is the worst! Sticky orangepeel texture.

Box Wave?

I intend to order screen protectors today for my 4S....The go to protector, I used for my #G and 3Gs and my Sonny camera was the Box wave Crystal clear. PowerSupport seems to be the choice on this thread. Anyonr used both and g=can give me a direct comparison?....Thanks!....:)

Up until now (4S on the way) I've owned the non-retina 3GS, and although I can vouch for the Powersupport films being just great, yes, there will be a minor loss of sharpness with the anti-glare style film. I didn't find it particularly bothersome, even when photoediting, but I would think it would be a bit more significant on the retina display. Still I used these for most of the life of my phone, and was quite pleased. Only this month I have been using a crystal clear film that came with Switcheasy's case (I'd say almost as good in quality as Powersupport's) and although the clear style is annoying by reason of the reflections and its tendency to get smudges, I'm appreciating the true clarity. I really didn't like it for the first few days because of the reflections, but now I think I'll be going with crystal clear on the 4S. It really does come down to personal preference, as it's truly an even trade-off. Hope that helps.

Image will be somewhat grainy. Think the old Aluminum Cinema Displays...

On the PowerSupport webdust specks site it mentions" •Pre-installation film included for easier installation"
....What is that?

It's a sticky film that is supposed to pull any lint, dust specks off your screen just before applying the protector. I still end up lifting up portions again, removing a few leftovers with scotch tape until it's perfect.

It's like a large sticky Post-It note you are supposed to use to remove dust from the screen before you install the PowerSupport film. I've never used. Instead, I clean the screen with alcohol + microfiber cloth. The PowerSupport screen protectors are VERY easy to install straight and without bubbles and they last a long time.

I unfortunately don't remember the image quality on those. Care to be more specific? And more importantly, does this diminish it enough that it would make one reconsider getting the Anti-Glare ones? How noticeable is the reduction in image quality? And with this being the case, how can they advertise it as "retina display compatible" and "HD"?
