You are absolutely correct... if I were to dip my phone it it. I use the iClear stuff they sell at the Apple store which is essentially alcohol in a viscous suspension.

Alcohol strips off the oleophobic coating on iPhone screens.

Just got back from my local Apple Store and bought this beauty :D

Hopefully the proximity sensor doesn't suffer on my white 4S, but if it does I'll just return it.
Never-mind, I just noticed that the film has a cutout for the sensor :D

Awesome to see so many people loved Steve. The other side was full of notes as well. There was a huge crowd around me just staring. I put a note in there too! :apple:

I have been looking at Wrapsol, but didn't want to pay $38 including shipping from their site. If anyone is interested, Staples.com has it for $10 with free shipping. Just ordered it, and it should be here by Wednesday.

ahhh haha I MAY end up doing the same since they are a great product but will definitely try to find something else.

they dont need to profit $6 on just the shipment.

You guys don't have an Apple store nearby? Just go buy it.

The Apple store doesn't have the Crystal set in the store only the HD anti glare set. Atleast thats what one poster said. Does anyone know if the white 4S will work with the power support type?

It will. I just took the Power Support HD anti-glare film that I bought, out of its packaging and noticed it has a cutout for the proximity sensor. That's what you were referring to right? I as well ordered the white 4S.

I'll probably get an invisishield from Best Buy and have them install... if they are worth it.

Are they?

I like Best Skins Ever skins well enough, dunno what the people basing them are basing it on, but I've used them on an iPod touch, iPad, 2 iPod nano's, and an iPod video all with great success. Oh, and a Palm Pre and Palm Pro.

But, I've also used the Monoprice brand screen protectors on my iPads recently and considering the price (<$1 each shipped for iPhone sizes and <$2 for iPad) they're nice enough that I ordered 5 for my wife and my new 4S's. I like that they're cheap enough to buy in bulk and toss of they start to get bubbles or scratches. They have clear and matte for about the same price, and privacy and mirror finished for about $1 or 1.50 more.

That sounds pretty good to me, does that include one for the front and back?

SGP oleophobic: For the front screen
Power Support Crystal: for the back of phone

This is what I use, best combination, can't beat it.

Does anyone have any tips for applying these? I always seem to mess it up..

Yes, you can be COMPLETELY anal like me and not take off the cling until you are ready to install, then it's simple because there is no dust/prints on the phone.

And yes, if I buy at Apple, I go with scissors and cut the ends for the speakers/sensors if they make me set up the phone, then put a case on. Embarrassing, but the Power Support Crystals on my 3g, 3gs and 4 are still perfect.

Don't be me.:D

Power support all the way.

i've used them for every iPhone since the first, and every iPad as well.

The best! Dont get the crystal, get the non-glare.

No, not at all. They have a rainbow effect when looking at the screen at different angles. It sort of reminded me of the look of gasoline on the surface of water but subtler. If you can deal with that then get ready for it to start peeling off in about a month. You'd be wasting your money.

Many in this thread think highly of Power Support. I ordered SGP because it has neither of the problems that the Zagg has, and I can order it from Amazon with free 2 day shipping. I think either of those choices would be better. Just take your time with the installation, and make sure your fingers are clean of any oils before applying.

Besides the Anti-Glare (and thus the matte vs glossy finish), are there any other differences between the Anti-Glare and the Crystal screen protectors? And are the crystal ones available in brick-and-mortar Apple Stores? From previous posts though, it's starting to seem like I can't get them in-store though :/

So Powersupport seems to be the popular choice. Now to get more specific, Crystal or Anti-Glare, or HD Anti-Glare?

I bought a Zagg no smudge, no glare Best Buy exclusive (huh?) the other day, as this is what I used on my iPod Touch 4, but now Im starting to reconsider.

I assume Crystal is the thinner of the three? Is it pretty safe from scratches?(on a level of accidentally having the phone sharing space with pocket change or a key.)

I asked about fitment:

Thank you for your email. All indications point to our current iPhone 4 film fitting the new iPhone 4S. We will receive confirmation from Apple by the end of this week. Once confirmed, our website will be updated and show that the current iPhone 4 film will indeed fit the new 4S. Please check PowerSupportUSA.com for updates.
