Zagg sucks IMO. Too much orange peel look.
Normally if you wipe the phone everyday, it will be phone. i had no problem with orange peel with any of my phones from the shop that installs the 3m films for me. If ever there is a problem, they will reinstall for me.
I already had the sides redone for free due to an incident with my phone.

Bad news to report on my end. I installed my BSE Matte skin (simple). It did go down ok and all bubbles were gone after 2 days. Unfortunately it peeled right off my matte black phone. I've used BSE all the time on iPads and once stuck it can be a bitch to get off. Not the case with the iPhone 7. Not sure if it is the skin or the finish of the phone. Disappointed to back to Apple silicone case for me.

most importantly, did it leave any residue on the back? read on some threads here that it left a residue. hope it's a one off bcos i just received my complimentary replacement yesterday and pondering whether i should leave the current one on or try with the replacement again.

Not that I'm aware of. It really just lifted off with very little effort. I should have taken a pic before tossing it. There was hardly any stretching or pulling. I've always had grea experiences and know how the skins adhere. This was like none of those.

You should have taken pictures and requested for a replacement.

Probably worth emailing them about it, doesn't sound right at all if it just easily peeled off.

I received a review sample of the matte wrap as well for the plus and had the same experience. Once I was done checking it out and ready to take it off it came off with minimal effort. Didn't leave any residue and was just like peeling a static cling off a window.

You guys better complain and receive a replacement.

So here's how the simple, case-friendly matte BSE skin looks on my black 7+. U can see bubbles on the apple logo and along the antenna bands. The stubborn edges are along the power, volume n bottom speaker corner. Sorry for the bad lighting bcos it's night time where I'm at currently. This is my 1st attempt n not sure if I want to try applying the replacement skin BSE sent me.

Looks pretty good

May be you can use the replacement if the current one gets spoilt or damaged.

Yeah that's what i thought but somebody told me that it is easily cleaned if i take it off and re-apply. I'm not sure. might try in weeks to come. as it is, the bottom corner one is beginning to peel but it could be my fault as i take off my case time and again especially when i need to plug in in the car to listen to music.

Do these cover the corners?

it does but only up to the antennas. take the bottom part, for example. it covers up to the start of the antenna band after the speakers. i hope u get what i'm saying.

Yes, you can clean off the 3M solution and re-apply the 3M film.

Removing the case often will cause the problem with the 3M film peeling off.

Had a second go at the matte BSE wrap on my 7+ Matte Black and I'm happy to say the results are much better than the first installation. Still managed to get one or two dust/fine hair trapped behind the wrap but the edges are much smoother.

Looks good. Gonna find out if it removes the iPhone lettering from the back of your phone?

Is BSE slow to respond to support requests? I submitted their online form on the 12th and have yet to receive a reply, only the generic auto-response that the request was received. No problems with the skins themselves, just need to return the 7+ skins and get the 7 instead.

I'm too scared to lol

With the first unsuccessful wrap, I pulled it off after about 12 hours and no lettering was removed.

Hopefully this is only for the JB versions?

Front page article says only the JB version is affected. So your first wrap was from BSE? Seems like a non-issue then.

Looks like there will never be peace of mind for users of the Jet Black model.

First we were worried about scratches on the Jet Black phones and then now we are worried that after protecting the Jet Black phone, the lettering may come off. He He.

There will never be peace of mind.

In this case, I suggest the users of Jet Black to install their skins properly or through a professional so that you don't have to re-do the installation again.

Usually when I put 3M films to protect the phone body I get the installation done by a professional and I normally don't remove the film until the day I sell my phone. I hope to do the same this time again. Usually the sides I keep re-doing if they come off (because of inserting and pulling off the phone in my leather pouch) but the back usually is stuck on nicely.

May be a possible solution would be to put the hair dryer over the area where the lettering is and then after it is slightly warm, remove the film slowly so that it will not pull out the lettering?

Someone on reddit just confirmed that the engraving happens to matte black too

Oh boy. I thought only the Jet Black phones are plagued with problems. Now Matte Black model also as the same problem.
[doublepost=1476851991][/doublepost]Check out this guys.

Nano coating which helps to protect Jet Black phones from scratching easily.

If this is true then it can be a great idea to protect the phone without a 3M film.

I was one of the first to try and review this. It doesn't work.
