Best TV show Ever

For me, 30 Rock will go down as one of my favorite shows ever. The writing was sharp and witty, loved the characters and Tina Fey's physical comedy, and I liked the fact that the show was never afraid to goof on itself.
 
The Wire was great, but the greatest show ever.... Friends

Not sure that will be a popular choice with the male spread of this forum, but it's got to be up there, look at the viewing figures!

Simpsons has to be worth a mention too.
 
It comes down to three. I'll put them in my personal preference order:

1) Sopranos
2) The Wire
3) Breaking Bad

With a huge gap between 2 and 3
 
So many great shows that were on TV but a few were notable for being a ground breaker -

Outer Limits

...just to name a few

PBS mini series including Henry the 8th and I, Claudius

It is hard to pick a fav but certainly many of the above paved the way for shows mentioned in many of the lists put on here.

DOCTOR WHO BY FAR!!!!!!!!!!! Just look at my user name!!! Doctor who best show of all time and the doctor can confirm that cuz he can travel anywhere in space and time.
 
breaking bad, pretty little liars and the walking dead are the best tv shows at the moment.
 
I love elementary. Not exactly a huge favorite among everyone, and I know many prefer Sherlock, but the new life into an old story is really cool and the screenwriters do a pretty good job. And the relationship between Miller and Lui is great.
 
ok so

Comedy: How I Met Your Mother, That 70's Show and Blue Mountain State (stupid but funny)

Drama: Friday Night Lights, Breaking Bad

Action/Crime: Criminal Minds, Burn Notice, White Collar

every one of these is available on netflix with the exception of Criminal Minds

I still say the tenth doctor was the best. Not sure how I'll feel about this new one though.
