Last night, I posted that I was afraid the watch I ordered wouldn't fit. Got it today, it fits with not a lot of loop left. I got the 38mm with Milinese loop. I owe apologies to people who I got upset with when they were rude to me. So I am very sorry. I hope everyone is enjoying their watches and if you haven't gotten it yet, I hope it comes soon. I have changed the face to the flowers. I had ordered the 42mm SS watch to try in case this one didn't work. It was scheduled for delivery in June, but I think I will cancel it.

What did you decide in the end, did you stick with the 38, or hold out for a 42? :)

I believe she kept the 38 and is waiting on the 42. Not sure which model or band the new watch will be.

I do think she will be much happier with the 42.

We shall see.

Woman must be rolling in it then lol I wish I could buy both for 'just in case'.

If she is rolling in it, good for her.

I have a 38, waiting on the 42.

The 38 will be my wife's if I can convince her to upgrade to the 6.
If not the 42 will be the every day watch while the 38 will be the stand in for the dressier occasions.

Ok this makes sense. OP is a woman, and people on this board stick their necks out to make everyone believe that 38mm is for females, and 42 is for males. There is nothing that you all can say to change ops mind. She is going to squeeze into the 38mm, ironically for the same reason that she won't get the 42; Peer pressure. Op, do what you feel comfortable with. The 38mm looks great on your arm.

Lmao @ she is going to squeeze into the 38mm. You're so wrong for that!

How about just getting what fits?

I'm a man and the 38mm fits me perfectly. No reason for me to get the 42

Way way way too tight, return this one and keep the 42mm. It doesn't look well

I've come to the conclusion some people will get the smaller size not because it fits/suits them, but because it serves them to know, "I have the small one and don't need the big one". IF money really isn't the issue.. I cannot make sense of that tiny watch in this situation . Just my opinion . SIZE UP

Can someone please close this thread it's really getting boring now!

I am not "rolling" in it. I was happy with my order until people here told me I should have gotten the bigger one. The shipping window for the big one is the end of June. And by the way for the other poster who says I squeeze into the 38mm, I don't "squeeze" into it, it slides over my hand just fine. Right now, I am tired of reading posts telling me how horrible it looks on me. I am not looking for compliments because I have never gotten any my whole life. I created this post because I had convinced myself thanks to people on this forum, that it wouldn't even go over my hand. I had been upset and wanted to apologize and posted pictures that it had gone on over my hand. What I have received more than anything is people making negative comments such as my arm looks like a pig's leg that I have put a watch on and other comments which were removed by the moderators. I may just cancel the other because I am sick of waiting.

I myself thought it had been closed, until I saw it today. I hope they do close it because I don't appreciate the constant reminder of how ugly and disgusting people find even just my arm and hand to be. And no, I am not looking for compliments because there are none to be had.

Big Apology

The negative comments have been deleted, everyone else since has been really helpful I think and if it still wasn't what you wanted to hear then you shouldn't of asked for it. The fact that you haven't cancelled the 42 yet tells me that deep down you know it's probably the right decision, so hang on and see how it fits. Should it fit well then sell your old 38mm and you'll be happy.

That looks really small on you, and it looks so tight that your arm is going to fall off

----------

Here is the picture you asked for. I don't really want to send this one back. I haven't canceled the other yet.

If the end of the band comes up that short it's definitely way too small

I haven't been to this thread in a while so I haven't read recent posts. I am very close to canceling more than before. Do I think it will be better, the answer is no.

I have worn it since I got it on launch day, and oh my gosh, my arm has not fallen off and I have plenty of blood circulation to my hand.

People are just trying to help, for goodness sakes you were concerned it wouldn't fit when you were having your temper tantrums the night before getting your watch. Now you have it you come back again seeking our opinion and we are saying the same thing, it doesn't look well on you and you should maybe think about going to a bigger size.

Too honest? Well if that's the case don't come to a public forum expecting us to mollycoddle you and say everything is fine and you made the perfect decision, you have your family for that. We all have our opinions, if you don't want to acknowledge them then think twice before seeking advice.

I don't live that close to one to make it an easy thing to do.

Op. Funny thing is, some people have given you compliments on the watch. You have chosen to zone in on the "negative" comments, which aren't all that negative. I am telling you straight up that the only reason you are dead set on keeping the 38mm is because a lot on this forum have sadly implied that 38mm is for girls, and 42mm is for guys. You are a girl, so you want the girl one.

What you fail to realize is that you can get whichever one you want. The thing is, you asked the Internet if a watch that is clearly squeezing your arm looks ok or not. It is ultimately up to you.

When I originally posted, I wasn't seeking anyone's opinion, I simply wanted to show that it went on and fit. I have never thought of one being girl or boy. I don't like big jewelry, so I chose the smaller face on that fact. I haven't been on this thread until today unfortunately. Again I didn't ask people's opinions I only wanted to show that it had gone on and was fitting. I have read and appreciate those that shared opinions that were not mean and cruel. Think what ever you choose.

Never did or would seek advice from anyone on these forums. I am not looking for "mollycoddling" from anyone here. My family doesn't mollycoddle me. I acknowledge the tactful opinions but feel being told my arm looks like a pigs leg and my circulation is being cut off is uncalled for.

IMHO, While the watch did get on your arm, it does not look like it fits. Getting into something and it fitting are two different things.

With that said do what you like. I have what some think is a crazy style; but it's me so I do it.

Being told that your arm looks like anything except an arm is uncalled for and cruel. I hope whoever said that received a time out from this forum.

I have very small wrists. Even I can wrap something around my wrist that would make it look like it was cutting off my circulation, whether it actually was or not. Being told that the band "looks" too tight is not cruel. Being told that it "looks" as though it might be cutting off your circulation is not (necessarily) cruel. It is an opinion based on pictures you posted here. I share the opinion that the band looks too tight based on the pictures, but the pictures might not be accurate. I also think that the 42mm watch would look more balanced on your wrist. I only base that on what I am seeing in the pictures and again it's only opinion that comes from my personal preferences. I am not trying to be cruel in any way when I say that. If you agree with the opinion, it's not like it's a situation you cannot rectify with a larger watch and a larger band. If you don't agree with the opinion, ignore it and move on.

I think there are plenty of people who have posted in your thread who are not trying to hurt you. Instead they are trying to give you fair, honest, non judgmental feedback, and are intentionally trying to NOT be hurtful. How is that not good, or at the very least how is it bad?

When you post on an open forum you are opening yourself up to opinion. If all you wanted was to say you were sorry you had a meltdown and that the watch fit fine, you only had to post without pictures. Now you're telling us that you might just be done with it and cancel the 42mm order as if that somehow proves to those who have a differing opinion than you that you're right and they're wrong. I don't get it. Cancel, or don't cancel. Keep the 38, or don't. It's your wrist, it's your watch, none of us have to live with your choice.

Thank you for this thread. As someone with similarly large wrists, it's helped more than you can imagine and you definitely have a lot more courage than myself posting a picture of your wrist.

Have you even read this thread? LOL. No one is telling the OP she needs to keep the 38 because she is a woman.

I haven't seen any posts on this board of anyone sticking "their necks out to make everyone believe that 38mm is for females, and 42 is for males." I've seen a few posts that claim that guys should not be buying the 38, by men who clearly have some insecurities, but no one telling women they shouldn't be buying a 42. So...maybe you need to read a few (or a lot) more posts and re-evaluate.

And there is no need to insult the OP, who has stated many times in this thread that she can fit two fingers under the band of her watch (which you'd know if you'd read the thread).

Quite frankly, anyone who insults you is a fool. Ignore the fools.

Here's a compliment:

Thank you for asking opinions of others if you're not sure of something. I have a huge amount of respect for those who recognize they don't have all the answers and seek out others for advice. Unfortunately, there are a lot of unhelpful people in this world (they tend to congregate on the Internet because they don't have the guts to insult in real life). Again, ignore those people.

I'll offer this piece of advice (and advice is often subjective, as this is). The 38mm is indeed too small for you. And the band is on too tight, too. That is all. If you have the 42mm on order still, keep it on order. You'll be happy you did, and you'll have it before you know it.

I did read the thread. I didn't insult the op. I did read where the op said that she can put two fingers in the band. I personally don't believe this. Or she can, but the band slides and extends when she does it.

If you haven't seen many posts that strongly imply that 38mm is for women , and 42mm is for men, you are the one that needs to read more. Of course, most people do not care about this and get what they want.
