Sounds like the same options I have. I'm on a 2011 55" Samsung and can't use the film mode due to the lack of interlaced output from the ATV4 but used a review recommendation of reduce judder = 9 and blur = 3 which made a noticeable improvement to me.

I turned on reduce judder and it creates that horrible soap opera affect I was avoiding. Its horrendous. Reduce blur doesn't create this, but then I seemed to notice more frame doubling even in static scenes, almost as if ATV was dropping frames or something.

These are the only options on this TV (granted its a 2009 model) but again, it supports 1080p24 so none of these would be an issue if the ATV would just support resolution switching to its content frame rate!

I think it is impossible to avoid that with this equipment. We would need either interlaced output or preferably just 24p out from the ATV4.

Is there any update on this? Have they added the setting somewhere in a update or in a future Beta?
