Yes, there's a huge industry going on here. The term "infomercial" has a bad rap for sure, but big bucks are being earned from the "offbeat" products being put forward.

Looks like they'll have a tribute episode and that's it for Pitchmen.
Crazy. I was at the taping of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien this past Tuesday when Billy Mays was one of the guests. He was literally less than 10 feet away from me when he walked out of the studio after the taping was done (we were in the front row). Pretty freaky to think that he's dead, just a few days after I saw him in person.
I was never much of a fan of his loud style, but RIP.
serious you get to tape the late show with Conan O'Brien man thats awesome yeah that must be freaky did you tape for Leno also? i thought i heard that most of the guys from the late show with Leno got to keep there jobs is that right?
seeing that this is a Billy Thread RIP BILLY MAYS
I think he said he was "at the taping".![]()
Sorry to hear of another death.
Fox NewsPolice said Mays told his wife he didn't feel well when he went to bed Saturday night. Earlier in the day, he said he was hit on the head when his airliner had a rough landing at Tampa Bay's airport.
But the airline said no passengers reported any serious injuries, and Mays himself cheerfully recounted the landing for a local TV station. His wife, Deborah, found him unresponsive Sunday morning.
Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said linking Mays' death to the landing would "purely be speculation." She said Mays' family members didn't report any health issues with the pitchman, but said he was due to have hip replacement surgery in coming weeks.
Would you believe...we're starting a third group of three?Deaths come in 3s, so who's next?
David Carradine
Ed McMahon
Farrah Fawcett
Michael Jackson
Billy Mays
???
I read yesterday that Walter Cronkite is on his deathbed, my guess is he'll be next to complete the second group of 3.
