Black Friday 2006 - Apple (and others) After Thanksgiving Sale

Maybe they'll launch the iphone on Black Friday:rolleyes:

They need to launch it soon. I'm at the point that I'm about to buy a black nano and a new cell phone and duct tape them together.:D

I want a new phone and I want a new ipod, come on Apple give me both.
 
Did Apple discount on the online store refurbished items last year? I'm hoping they do this year, so I can save even more!
 
i'm thinking about buying .mac. this would be the perfect time. i hope its discounted again, but with my luck it won't be.

Black Friday

I just tried to cancel an online order of a MacBook Pro 200G because the local store had the stock MBP available today. The online rep. took $130 off if I kept the online order. So I'll wait the 5-7 days. That's on top of the Fed employee discount.
 
Can you get black friday savings on top of an education discount? Or is it just for the regular store. And is it in Canada too?
 
I can't wait until Black Friday! :D I love being part of the insane shopping. I wonder how crowded Apple's retail stores are going to be.
 
I wasn't terribly impressed with their "discounts" last year...not to be a downer or anything. :D
 
I've never experienced Apple's grab bags. Actually this is my first time ever hearing of them. I would buy something online just to get a grab bag. :) What are the chances of Apple doing this again?
 
EDU discount not applicable to blank friday right?

hey all,

just about to order my first mac, a stock 2.16 MBP, and i just wanted to confirm that since i am buying from the EDU store, that there is no way i can get in on the sales right? the EDU discount gives me 200$ CAN off the MBP and a little off applecare too.

oh and can someone give me an estimate of the total time they think it takes to get a stock 15" MBP from order to delivery? is it about 20 days or so?

Black Friday

I make it a point to not shop on Black Friday, and just enjoy a day off from work. By the 8th of December the stores are pretty empty, so I go then. Every Holiday in this country has been co-opted by retailers, making them meaningless dates.
 
Judging from the deals that they offered last year, it looks like the real bargain hunters will be better off just sticking with refurbs.
 
I ordered my refurbished Mac Pro after Squonk's reply. I hope Apple doesn't cut $300 for the sale!

Maybe they'll take 25% off everything, just to screw with us.
 
anyone know if they will take off the mac pro? well, does it apply to the education store? because im orderign mine from the edu store this week, and if the discounts wont apply then i will order it tomorrow or wednesday, probably tomorrow :D
 
would i be looking at alot of money off of a macbook?! the black one... on the 24th?! omg!

they are offering the deal on the canada store too!!!
