Will I still get sale price if I "upgrade" the MBA? I want to get a 13" with 4GB of RAM.

What do ya's think?

I believe it does. If you are a student, then you can also apply your student discount. That is of course of your arent rallying around the UK streets smashing up the place causing millions of pounds worth of damage then in the next breath banging on about how its your right to get to university for free.

Even though you get your student loan and piss it up against the wall within the first month of being away from mummies t*t.

Oops sorry of on a tangent there. The answer is yes the discount should still apply for us government workers etc. Looking at the MBA meself. mmmmmm

What discount have you been getting as a Government worker? I have been paying full price but would be interested to know if/how and how much of a discount I could get.

11 in MBA discount?

Do you guys think the 11 inch Air will be getting a discount considering it says "from $1299" in the ad?

Also, would I be able to get an education discount in addition to the Black Friday discount? I believe I tried it a couple years ago with the iMac and it wouldn't let me.

The whole discount thing is rubbish. Should have took £100 off all their computers, and say like £50 off an iPad. It just doesn't seem worth while.

Yeah most of Apples sale products are cheaper on Amazon on a normal day!

Since the base 11" is $999, DON'T buy at $1299. The ad is the ad; there are no more discounts.

You CANNOT stack discounts.

Am I missing something? Otherwise, I don't think it's necessarily true that only the low-end models are discounted.

You're right. Looking at the AU prices, it appears the discounts are across the line.

This confuses me???

I'm just saying, the 13 inches start at $1299, so I'm guessing the 11 inch ones won't be getting a discount?

The savings in the UK are awful.

£81 off a £1809 iMac i7? Are you kidding???

And to think I missed a refurb offer in the hope that the Black Friday would be better!

The Apple TV is on the page with the sale, just without a discount, what's the point in that?

and on all the item pages even if they aren't discounted it says "see the complete list of Shopping Event items"

the only things i want from the Apple Store are the Apple TV, iPhone 4 and iWork, none of which are discounted...

like everyone said, load of hype about nothing spectacular.

:(

MacMall is evil, they'll send you the wrong iMac and then claim it was the right one, and demand a restocking fee for an exchange.

Yes, I am still bitter about that 350mhz iMac purchase.

LOL, :) that is funny.

I am laughing at the story, not at your misfortune. I know it wasn't funny when it happened. But I could see Macmall saying that though.

Anyone know if uni discount works with the black Friday discount? As in do we still get the usual full uni discount then also black Friday discount too?

Uk

The discounts are awful. In Spain even more after Apple send an email announcing discounts on iPhones in the online store. Guess what? Nothing. Nada. Cero. This is misleading advertising Apple

sorry but 10% off for one of the biggest sales of the year? does apple even know how to have a sale?

i constantly see bestbuy selling things for below cost on other computer related items, wtf is up with this? even if they went to 50% off, they would still be making money, im sure 25% wouldn't hurt.
