Is there a 0% chance of me getting the iPad Air if I arrive at opening time and enter the store after everyone else?

I would like to save a trip over there.

I am a Black Friday virgin.

you will likely have to line up with everyone else hours in advance to get in on the $100 gift card for the ipad air.

Opening time normally = MADNESS. Last year went to TArget at 1 AM ( they open at midnight). The line was insanely long. I came back at 7 am, and got my ipad 4 then. It was $75 gift card then. This year, the stakes are much higher, with it being a new shape n $100 gift card. I think it is probably easier to just do cyber Monday.

6 hours later? I might have a chance then.

You better line up now! :p

Its probably only 16gb WiFi that's in high demand for black Friday $479 plus gift card.

I just traded in my 64gb WiFi iPad 4 for $540 in gamestop credit/amazon gift card.

I am getting the 64gb WiFi iPad air. I am sure most peeps won't buy the 64gb model. I will still get $100 gift card on any size iPad air.

So your chances are better if you want more GB in your iPad.

But then again Target's inventory may be different between models. They usually carry more lower end models than the higher end ones from what I've seen. They don't even carry 64 GB rMini in store.

Just order online. They r available now

the red card will pretty much cover sales tax, free shipping, and a 100 gc is really good imho.

i know people don't think of target warranties, but their 2 year warranty is 129.99, which if you use the gc will only be 29.99 for 2 years of coverage.

out of stock online. Wonder if they'll give a price adjustment if I bring in the iPad Air that I bought 2 weeks ago.

Probably not. Black Friday sales are different from others, they typically only have the deal for one day and won't "honor" prior purchases.

Worked for me last year, but since then they have changed their Price Match policy:

According to Target's Price match guarantee, they will not be price matching for previously purchased iPads.

"Ad exclusions:

Items advertised as limited time/limited supply/limited quantity.
Black Friday ads (including adjusting prices for previously purchased items).
Pricing or typographical errors."

return and repurchase?

Just ordered mine online. Luckily I wanted the cellular model and those were not part of the "door busters" deal so they were available online with the $100 gift card...best of all I don't have to brave the cold and ruin my turkey day!

Basically every model is available except the 16gb wifi model (for obvious reasons).

I purchased the 32gb WiFi. My total after taxes was $629.49. After subtracting my red card discount, free shipping, and the $100gc my total was $499.54 delivered. I am glad I returned the the one I recently purchased to best buy because I found out quickly 16gb was not enough space for my use.

Not everyone has a Red Card, when I applied for mine they wanted extra info and other things so i never got it, same thing happened to my wife.

Also most new red card members can only purchase $500 initially making this deal non valid for larger iPads. Combine that with the tax and 7+ days for shipping it almost makes no sense to me.

Just 2 weeks ago people were buying iPad 32gbs for $599+ tax, if I can find the 32gb for $576 with no tax and free overnight shipping that's a better deal for me.

Technically your cost is 599.54 that is what is coming out of your pocket. The gift card is a discount on future sales, i.e., needing to buy more stuff at target.

I see your point. If someone purchasing isn't a red card holder it is less appealing but still in my case even without a red card it would be $630 minus $100gc so $530 and then $7 shipping. I guess someone would have to make the decision if The slower shipping is worth the $50 savings and whether or not they would put the $100gc to use.

Well technically I guess. I would think it would be pretty easy to assume anyone who is a red card holder shops at target frequently though so that $100 is as good as cash.
