Breaking News:

The new 2013 models of every car company are using faulty paint. Many owners report that when they brush up against other vehicles or run into shopping carts, the paint wears off and scratches.

Oh boy here we go again, this is all anyone will be talking about for the next 6 months and then apple will give us all free cases.

And it will gets finger prints on the screen when you use it. If you don't want this to happen to your iPhone, never take it out of the box.

Uh. I don't intend to mix a "naked" iPhone with my car keys in a jeans pocket. That's one silly example in that photo. I'd be more interested in knowing if it'll easily scratch even despite this, for example by sliding it a few inches across a table.

WOW...it scratches when rubbing another piece of metal on it.....would you believe it!!?? I think this calls for Scratchgate headlines on the newspapers tomorrow morning.

I'm guessing the plastic back of the Samsuns S3 will remain as new when poked with a key?

Thats it......I'm ditching Apple for Samsung!

I remember when I used to have Nokia phones which didn't need silly bumpers and cases in order to stay respectable, though you can't deny that intentionally letting loose with keys on a phone like that is a bit dumb.

Really?

Really.

The scumbag who decided to purposefully ruin the back of a phone that doesn't belong to him, on launch day no less, should be prosecuted for vandalism. Shame on MacRumors for glorifying his childish "tests."

Yes, things scratch when you beat them up with sharp metal objects. My screen protector on my 4S gets scratched when I put it in the same pocket as my keys.

Come on. This is just a sad attempt for page views on MacRumors part.

When most folks buy iPhone just to show off, I guess having scuffs is not a good thing.

Apple needs 3 Billion from Samsung to address this issue. 1.05 Billion is not enough.

whoever carried out this act of useless vandalism should have his arm continuously scratched with keys to see if it bleeds.
