If you don't like fingerprints, just wash them off since the phone is waterproof now.

Even the current iPhone 6+ is water proof. I've seen dozens of videos proving this and I've had water splash all over my iPhone several times in the last year. It's already water proof. Apple just didn't want to advertise it as such yet...until now.

per apple website.

  1. Jet black is available in 128GB and 256GB models. The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone.
Thanks for finding this! This reminds me of the old iPods with the crazy shinny back. Man, those things had hairline scratches like crazy over time.

Looks like one option for me lol, getting the black since the jet-black is only avail in 128/256 gb capacities. 32 GB is more than enough for my needs.

Black for practicality since I use naked. Jet Black is tempting but common sense wins out. Plus, one of my fave phones aesthetically was the iPhone 5, dings and all.

Kind of wish we got this nice, deep blue...

Never owned the 5 but always loved the looked of it. Have the 5s but it never won my love over.

Plain/Matte Black, too. I'm not a big fan of shiny/glossy things. Alas, betting the Black and Jet Black versions will be most in demand since they're the "new" colors.

Directly from Apple's website. I guess Matte Black it is.

This. I was debating between the two, but that little blurb seals the deal. 256gb matte black it is!

I think it's kind of cool. Kind of techy-buggy. Reminds me of the newer Porsche Carrera headlights...

Sorry man. There was a reason I stayed with my 6s+. I've hated the camera bump since it was introduced with the 6.

This is just exponentially worse to me.

Obviously some people like it and that's great. Just not me.

No, the 6s is not water proof. Even then 7 is not water proof. The iPhone 7 is IP67 certified, meaning it can withstand water for up to 30 minutes and no deeper than 1m. The S7 on the other hand is IP68 water resistant, meaning 1.5m. If Apple was able to get a better certification, they would have. Just because you can put a phone in water, pull it out and have it fine, doesn't mean water did not get inside that will slowly cause problems down the road.

Ok but u can clearly go in the rain or shower with ur phone now and drop it
In the pool one time and nothing happen

I have Space Grey in an Apple Leather Case or clear Spigen AirSkin now but I want try to go naked iPhone this year because I'll finally have a black phone again. I think the shiny Jet Black will show fingerprints and micro scratches, but the matte Black might show greasy finger smudges. Both would look bad on a black phone.
I'll probably pre-order each Black and return one after the display models are in Apple Stores.
