OCD full effect over here with it just laying on the concrete like that. Lmao!
I always have a wee panic when I see screens face down on pavement, too. I have to imagine people put a small cloth or something underneath to prevent the screen touching, right?

I may not be afraid of scratches but I wouldn't make them willingly!

Today I got to play with both phones. When I saw matte black the first thing that came to my mind was "What?! That's the new black?" I looked like cheap iPhone knock-off. The aluminium felt like plastic, the colour wasn't as black, it was something like charcoal gray, just a tone darker. It is slippery as hell and you can see lots of fingerprints on it. I was actually prepared to buy it as it was the only colour available.

Then, few hours later I got to touch Jet Black and... OH MY GOD! I WANT IT NOW! It looked so good, black was actually black, when holding, it felt like premium device, oh and the grip.. it sticks to your hand like glue! There's no chance that you would drop it by accident. Even though it was covered with fingerprints it looked better than clean matte black.

So, if you are waiting for your Jet Black - believe me, it's worth it!

I originally purchased the matte black because I thought it would stress me out less compared to the jet black, but it attracts just as many fingerprints and smudges, and it's slippery AF. Even worse, it's not even black really. More of a very dark gray. Picked up a jet black + at Target last weekend and absolutely love it (with a clear skin installed of course).

Good decision. JB is special edition anyway.

I had a matt black 7 which looked amazing but slippery just like the 6 series
Then I received a Jet black 7+ and I was amazed.
The jet black looks stunning and very grippy
I hated how the 6S plus felt in my hands but the jet black in my opinion is the only colour worth getting this year.

Agree. If you take matte black it would feel like an 6s.

the 5c was a shiny black....so I don't think that's what they mean.

And really...they're both black! Black phones (including shiny black) have been around forever...just don't understand all the JB and MB hate lol

Good decision. JB is special edition anyway.

When you are selling millions and millions Of them , there is nothing special or limited about them. It's just us JB owners who want to feel special.

The Apple product red is more rare....and therefore special in a mass produced product in my opinion.

JB is slick! It's simply stunning. It's like a metallic car vs non-mettallic car - just looks better!

Non-metallic colored cars with a matte paint job are more rare and difficult to care for than regular metallic colored cars. Sort of like the JB.

Just set up my iPhone 7 jet black which finally arrived today after more than a month of waiting. What a magnificent beauty. So glad I chose it over the matte black.

When I unboxed it for the first time and saw it with the screen off, it just looked uniformly black. So seamless and beautiful
