Can you explain why Apple didn’t release the iWatch or any other device/service with the ‘i’ in front over the past 5-7 years or are you just ignorant to that? My point was Apple has moved away from that naming convention and the possibility that they’ll rename the iPhone at some point in the future to better align with their current strategy/mindset is a possibility based on their prior history. Now, maybe we should stop arguing about nothing and move on.

I've thought the same. Of course, in addition to the thickness, the larger battery would add weight. No idea how much.

I do wonder if they've tried this and found the current design as the best compromise.

It wasn’t a matter of compromise - it was one guy insisting on ‘thin über alles’, until his directions tanked the sales cycle, and he was fired. I suspect we will see more functional designs moving forward, 2021 and beyond.

Apple can simply push Dual Physical SIM option used to be exclusive to China market to international market, ditching eSIM support entirely.

THIS. This is what they should have done, instead of having country specific skus - or a three SIM model, worldwide, with two physical SIMs in the brilliant design they currently have AND still have an eSIM as well.
