Looks like their is no point waking up early tomorrow morning 3am to watch the event.

Same design Apple Watch as previous models.

iPad Air that looks like the iPad pros, missing all the good stuff though.

Talking about AR for a hour. 🥱

Most likely no iPhones. 🥺

Most likely no apple silicon Macs. 🥺

Next event cant come fast enough. 😂

Happy for everyone who's after a Apple Watch and iPad Air, get your wallets ready. 😂

Judging from the zero posts which I see on the topics, I guess I'm one of very few who are disillusioned to see nothing in the press (again) about a pending HomePod refresh or a pending Apple TV refresh.

Gee, Apple... many of us are (still) stuck at home during a pandemic and home entertainment is kind of a welcome escape. I would think you would want to leverage a market opportunity and refresh the HomePod and Apple TV boxes. But I guess not?

I suppose there still might be news on the services bundle. I'm in favor of anything which might save on monthly subscription fees, but it hardly qualifies as exciting. I'm not usually disappointed by Apple announcements, because I tend to temper my expectations in a realistic way... however, tomorrow sounds kind of like Apple won't even clear the low bar I typically set for such events.

The watch seems like a bad update, I skipped series 5 and looks like I might again don’t need the health thing, I want better display thinner bezels new design etc

A round design option should be offered. Why not? I bet it would increase sales.

What is really quite a bit sad how Ipad Air used to have the latest tablet designated cpu with the x-chip and now the rumors say it would not even have the A14.

I am looking to upgrade the Air 3 as my parents need a new tablet but did skip the latest Ipad pro as it had the old A12Z instead of A13X. If the latest Air will not have the A14 or A12Z there is really no reason to upgrade.

I have to say I dont really like the direction Apple is going. Instead of innovation I am starting to see cost-cutting and recycling of old parts. Thats not acceptable with technology at these prices.

If it works out like that then time for Tim Cook to retire and bring back some excitement and innovation with someone young and sharp. Problem is that people like Warren Buffett who owns massive amounts of Apple stock in Berkshire Hathaway is happy with things. Stasis has set in.

AW 6 should be a real home run, not just an update. Same with the new iPad Air. We'll know for sure in less than 24-hours.

The oxygen saturation is actually a huge thing, HR goes up and and sats drop rapidly as COVID progresses, may save some lives. In fact, it will. So what do you consider bad? No new colors?

I stopped trying to argue with these people.

Nevermind that any Series besides S6 will be using a two year old cpu at this point. And this isn’t even an already leaps ahead cpu like on the 2018 iPad Pro so don’t even try it.

Nevermind that S6 will also finally boost WiFi/cell speed.

But these Watch kids wouldn’t understand or care about anything like that. For them it’s “good enough”. Whatever that means.

So amped about the S6. Not to be a downer but I’m in Australia and they still haven’t activated or got approval for the ECG I was promised. So forgive me if I’m not pumped for another feature.

They haven't got approval, because Apple HAVE NOT applied! How many more people will blame the TGA? The TGA have stated already that Apple have yet to approach them. We are a lot tighter in Australia when it comes to approving health devices,..you also cannot just claim a health benefit, as Apple does in other Markets, without testing & documented proof. Be grateful!

Maybe I missed it. Will there be a processor upgrade for the watch since the S5 is using the same processor as the S4?

Why not 7 digital events?
I hope all those "leakers" are wrong and we will see iPhones.
My sentiments exactly, you think Apple is going to blow the Apple Silicon HYPE with their "first event" and say Watch and iPad Air, have a good one! C'mon man...

Apple watch series 5 are showing up unavailable on the apple store. Psyched for tomorrow!

I think series 5 will be discontinued, they'll sell series 6 and something new (like an SE model) for the cheaper price point.
series 3 has to go, still with the old display. Maybe they could just offer a series 4 rebranded with a different name and they may also disable the ECG stuff to make the series 6 more valuable in comparison.

Probably will also talk about new subscription bundles and maybe one more thing.

TV+ is still a thing, with more shows coming and the second season of some of the existing ones.
iPhone with some accessories like AirTags could fill at least an hour in a separate event

Hey Apple, when you announce your new services bundles... can you also double each iCloud packages amount of storage :) It's been a while and my photos take up more space than they did a few years ago.
Over time optimizations have made it so photos take up less space, so while you probably have more photos than you did in the past, individually they are not taking up more space than they did in the past.

New photos are better optimized with HEVC, but old photos aren't re-encoded. Since JPEG is lossy, there would be some amount of loss in doing so, not to mention the CPU time and bandwidth involved, since Apple would likely do it on-device.

Old photos take up the same space that they always have. HEIF stores more information in roughly the same amount of space, but over time as someone takes more photos, they will use more space as a whole. Likewise, as more people get newer phones that support higher resolution photos and videos, the efficiency gains from HEIF/HEVC will be overshadowed by larger files again. More compression improvements are in the pipeline, like MPEG5 EVC, but they'll still continue to take up space as time marches forward and people store more years of media.

I think that's exactly what happened today. Great guess!
