What should he search for? The OP is giving his impressions of the retina display I doubt his impressions are already posted.

To the OP, the retina display is the thing I look forward to the most when the iPhone 4 is released over here in 10 days.

My thoughts exactly.

Anyway, I just recieved mine yesterday and I didn't give much thought to the retina display, but even playing a simple card game in my spare time, I see the clarity.

Next time, provide links instead of saying search. For the record, I don't mind people coming in and telling their experience with an iPhone feature. Nice change from all the bloody antenna threads. Don't try to scare off people that actually post good stuff on this forum.

+1 I enjoyed this thread very much. Makes me that much more excited to get my eyes on my own (though I have seen it at the Apple Store, but I think my own will be that much cooler).
 
I compared my 3Gs and 4 with the same pic (High Res ofc).

First thing I noticed... Blacks on the 3Gs look grey compared to the iphone4. I am very happy with the Retina Display. Now, if only there were more apps etc. that used Retina to it's full potential.

Says the guy who made a pointless thread about how he's afraid his iPhone mute switch might fall off after using it only once? Again, honestly?

As for the Retina Display, I am shocked at the lack of app updates. That even goes for iOS4 updates. I think there are some abandoned apps out there that are just rolling in money for some developers. Sad, but hey, people will stop buying them eventually. They might not even work with future OS updates.

Indeed, what is taking devs so long? My mum has a radio app she listens to that still haven't been updated to stream music in the background. Quite embarrassing.
 
Is it just me, or does EVERY thread become some sort of little war instead of just staying on topic?

I'm relatively new here. Has it always been this way? Or is this a recent development?

Yep, you get some ignorant folks like a few above that instead of contributing something positive or informative to the thread they look for things to nag, complain and try to talk down to others.
It gets annoying after a while. You dont like the thread or you think its repetative move on and dont post then.
If all we did was search and never post new threads this place would be dead.
Get off your high horse, you're not a Mod and you dont have the right to tell anyone what to do here.
 
Like another user said, I'm used to it now. But, I remember seeing the the phone for the first time - wow. It was an insane difference from my 3G.
