On vaca this week, Destiny is coming (should be here today which will be day early) and then event tomorrow I can watch on the Apple TV. I am going to get the 4.7 32 gigs (whatever is above 16). I figured out Next on AT&T with right plan should be fine. I am hoping that I can pre order.

I think they are saying that the 5.5 model will go on back order pretty quickly.

Maybe not as many of those in the first run.

I guess. So how about: "According to a reliable source, only half as many of the larger model iPhone 6 will be available for shipping."

Wait what happen? For the past 2 years all I heard from fanboys was that a phone over 4 inches was too big. Now everyone is showing love for a 5.5 inch iphone?

Funny how points of view change.

Nice! Wouldn't it be funny if the 5.5" sells better then the 4.7".

Getting Destiny tonight then Apple keynote tomorrow!

Here's a tip:

Don't try to get one on the first day.

Not only will you face less pain dealing with long lines and waits and such, but if you wait even a couple weeks you'll be getting an iPhone 6 with possible last minute manufacturing flaws fixed.

That was the case for the iPhone 5 (remembering the damage on the chambered edges?) and probably will be the case here too.

Finally! Someone who shares my view! Thank you!

I am really ready to upgrade my 4S, but I will wait until October or so. I don't want the stress of preorders, site crashes, 10 hour lines, and back orders and every iPhone seems to have inital batch issues. I'll wait until I can casually walk into a store, try both models, and then choose one with no pressure.

THAT would be ideal. I'd love it if they did this. Not expecting it though. I'm pretty much sold on a 4.7... I don't want to carry around anything as huge as a 5.5 the way I currently carry my 4S. Still, it'd be nice to get an idea.

As it stands, I'll be looking at specs sheets and cutting cardboard to get an idea. Or perhaps an iLego phone. :)

Haha, using the printed paper version of the iWatch as inspiration?

By the time you have put a case on the 4.7....it'll be the size of the 5.5 ;)

For the record, the panel was pretty split on what people thought of the screen real estate of the iPhone 5 on release, and many were disappointed, me included.

Exactly like I firmly predicted long ago.

Please nobody doubt from now on. I have earned that with a track record of sound critical thinking a deductive reasoning.

I think there are the same people claiming the 4.0 iPhone is the perfect size, and the same amount of iPhone users that wouldn't mind a bigger version.

Where did this come from? If the 5.5" is closer to the Galaxy S5 than the Note 3, I may go 5.5 over 4.7.

That picture doesn't account for the fact that the top/bottom bezels on 6 are equivalent to to the 5 in size. So it actually might be taller than the note.

This is what Apple's home page looks like right now:

I saw this on Twitter and it made me chuckle. :D

My Note 3 felt massive for the first day or so. After that, I couldn't imagine going back to something smaller.

This is what im really curious about. How many people regret buying 5.5"/5.7" phone after using it for week or so?

I'm on the fence. I know a lot of people claim it's way too big but i wonder if they used one because I know the current iPhone 5 is pretty small for browsing websites(cool when I first got it but it's tiny now to me). I don't talk on the phone at all so a 5.5" could be very useful.

What I want to know is what they're going to cost for non-contract users.

Anyone think we'll be able to demo the phones in store prior to the release date? I'd prefer to try both sized phones before committing.

No. Whatever the official "launch" date (release date), they'll go out the overnight prior. You won't be able to see them until launch day.

Any idea if we might be able to buy it unlocked on launch day? What has been the trend with iphone 5 and 5S? Is T-Mobile support expected on launch?

Umm, are they sure?

Because my sources tell me, rather then "iPhone+" the bigger 5.5-inch model will be called "iPhone 7" and not be released before September 19, 2016. :p
