Oh, you incredibly butch, macho guys! Those bulgy pockets are just so sexy and masculine, especially with a business suit.

;) :D

Business suit? Not really my style!
To be honest I don't like the idea of a bag from a security aspect. I always keep everything in my front trouser pockets where they are safe. Putting my valuables in a bag would make me paranoid about losing it (especially in built up places with pick pockets etc.)
I've never lost a wallet, keys or phone yet so for me there is a method in my madness.

I don't think carrying a purse is something I'm willing to do. I think other products are a bit more useful, such as backpacks and what not.

Being a man I have no need for a purse.
Wallet, iPhone and keys go in jeans pockets. What else does one need to carry?

Laptop, cables, mouse, school books, clothes, etc... But I spend probably less than 30-40 hours a week at home and most of that is sleeping. Or course, I have a bag and not a murse.

Keys in front pocket, wallet in back, lighter and misc in other front pocket, and phone in the jacket.

I don't own a murse, but I have a Chrome messenger bag I practically live out of. I guess the hipster bike messenger bag is almost as bad as a satchel. :D

I also prefer cargo pants for work. I worked in an IT department and now a warehouse but then they told us we have to wear khakis and can't wear cargos. WTF? Stupid company.

An attaché case was what I used when I worked. I used it to carry a laptop, cables external HD's, documents, sometimes spare clothes, books, it was also small enough to be counted as hand baggage for air travel.

Coffee thermos, breakfast, misc docs, work laptop, pens...
I don't have a shoulder bag since I've yet to find one I like, so I use an ancient North Face backpack. Looks like something any high school or university student would have.
When I spent a week in Boston for work a while back, I noticed a large percentage of the guys had shoulder bags - I'm thinking it's because the city is so walkable, and shoulder bags are more convenient than briefcases or pockets.
I'd like to find a nice leather shoulder bag one of these days.

Don't carry enough stuff to warrant one. Anything that doesn't fit in pockets is in my car.

I would wear one though but only so I could get my girlfriend to hold my bag.

Been carrying a man bag of sorts for a couple of years now. It ain't no damn purse though

Call it a purse if you like.

I finally gave in. Mine is black, made of hemp, and looks like this ...

Who are the men here who carry one?

What will it take to bring you into the fold?

I rather carry a backpack. Sorry bro, you're on your own with this one. :D

Either a backpack or my laptop bag. I can stow my extra phone, tablet, lappy, power cords and extra USB sticks with ease. Wouldn't be caught dead with a murse/man bag/fanny pack or whatever they're being called these days.

I'm glad society has finally progressed to the point that I can finally carry stuff around in a handy bag without being judged.

And yes, I would carry tampons with me in that bag. Tons of 'em.

Why?

Because nothing is more effective at stopping a nose bleed, and I get in a lot of bar fights during my monthly feats of strength test.

If I wasn't an anti-leather vegetarian I'd have bought this one ...

Holy crap! I think that might be the exact same one I have. Everything looks exactly the same.

I keep two laptops, a few binders, headphones, and a small change of clothes if I'm doing a one nighter somehwere in mine.

I believe it's a US thing though, machismo runs deep in Americans. They're more forgiving in Europe :D

Yup, I use backpacks all the way and sometimes a messenger bag. Messenger bags are not bad, but I could never see myself wearing some small man purse. Especially when they are designed to wear just like a women's purse.

It's interesting the aversion [at least in the U.S.] men have against anything that they feel connects them to femininity.

Having grown up in it, I get where you're coming from.

But I definitely think we need to leave that mind-set behind and embrace a new way of thinking.
