Todd is a wicked little bastard, ain't he?
My God, yes. "Just so you know this isn't personal." JESUS TODD, IT'S PRETTY PERSONAL.
Todd is a wicked little bastard, ain't he?
I dunno. I think Elliot and Gretchen are more the catalyst to get Walt moving again than anything. Watching them on TV made him realize he still has one thing left, the one thing still worth fighting for, the one thing that's, deep down, the most important thing to him. His name and legacy.
His family hates him. They're lost to him forever. What else can he do? Go down in a blaze of visible, terrible, attention seeking glory, thinking if you can't be loved and respected, you might as well be infamous.
"Remember My Name".
...but you never know. Even after writing my little essay out above, I don't think the ending is gonna play out exactly like that. I think it'll hit a few of those notes, but something else will happen. Something out of left field we weren't expecting, but'll make perfect sense when we see it all go down.
Breaking Bad has never been a slave to its plot, so it's almost impossible to predict what will happen. That's one of the many, many things that make it such a cool show.
That was pretty good, appreciate the link.![]()
Agree completely with this. Grey Matter has been the thorn in Walts side from the start, but I doubt he will address this directly.
The last episode could be all about him suing Grey Matters for patent rights.
This is Breaking Bad and Heisenberg, not Apple and Steve Jobs/Tim Cook.![]()
That's what's so brilliant about it! You're not expecting it at all, then...BAM! Walt lawyers up, goes after Elliot, and gets Grey Matters changed to the Walter H. White Institute of Science...bitch. The last scene is him laughing his ass off in that little New Hampshire shack, screaming "HA! NOW EVERYONE WILL REMEMBER MY NAME". He glances over at that big gun he bought, smiles, rolls his eyes, then....fade to black.
Credits roll.
edit: Oh, and Todd and Lydia get married and have a bunch of really weird kids.
All of that sounded really awful until the bit about Todd and Lydia. Those whackjobs should get together already.
Little aside here, but my parents are watching BB, and I'll occasionally swing by the house and sit in for a few episodes. Last night, I saw the scene where Jesse is in AA, shortly before he meets Andrea, I believe, talking about the time he built a box for woodworking...
On Talking Bad (yeah, I know, shaddup), the one clue Vince Gilligan gives for the final episode is "woodworking". Just that single word. Nothing more.
It makes me think that maybe, just maybe, it's a hint that Jesse does live beyond see the ending. Maybe he ends up rehabilitating himself through woodworking. It's the one thing he believes he's good at outside of the drug trade, so he could pick it up in an attempt at leading a normal life.
Good pickup. We'll soon know how it all wraps up. Or at least I hope there is some kind of definitive ending and not left to speculation. Or at least I think I hope that.I don't want Walt or Jesse to die. I hope Heisenberg goes Rambo on Uncle Jack and Todd and takes them all out. Then he frees Jesse, and turns himself in to vindicate what he can for his family. Or maybe all the main characters end up dead except for Saul. This is a tragedy after all. Walt, Jesse, Skylar and Uncle Jack's gang have all done terrible things.
Me, I still hope that Walt and Jesse survive, but I don't that Mr. White will make it. Maybe he dies in Skylar's arms.
Last thursday, I started watching it all from episode 1, and I just caught up today. Can't wait for the finale, it's an amazing show![]()

Geez, man. Did you sleep at all?![]()
I know I'm going to suffer withdrawal symptoms after tonight's finale.
For sure! I'm a little behind but I just bought season 2 of Homeland and I understand season 3 is about to start. So I'll have something to watch after we find out what happens to Walt & Co.
Homeland is such a frustrating show. On one hand, its addicting. On the other, the directing, writing and acting are so bad sometimes, its laughable. I'm with you but its a weak substitute IMHO.

Always feel a bit empty after the end of a great series like Soprano's/Wire/Rubicon....thank god Homeland and Suits are still going...
Suits!...lol!...

Its seems to have won quite a few awards Eg Golden Globes and Emmy for acting and writing?
Anyway back to Breaking bad and it seems at least we will be seeing more of Saul in the future!
Better Call Saul!
