Yeah, to me "days away" means anytime within 7 days. Otherwise you're talking weeks. What do they mean by "days away"? To me it's 1 week tops. So they better clarify that.
“I don’t understand how other people could want things that I don’t!”I don’t understand the 5G craze, LTE is more that sufficient for most people. Not to mention, some networks aren’t even fully done rolling out LTE, why begin another project? AT&T’s LTE is so poor in my area.
I'm on WiFi so much that back when I still had my iPhone 6 I'd turn off LTE to preserve my battery. Never missed it.
I don't get all the comments about why do we need 5G i see not point, who needs the faster speeds. Literally everyone in the tech field knows how this goes and has gone. We don't know why we need it yet. Same thing with every generation of cellular networking. Why do we need 2G, 3G, 4G etc. Every time one comes out some say why we need it and then forward a few years and we do need it and couldn't imagine not having it.

‘Days away’ is a meaningless phrase here. We know they’re coming soon.
It’s called progress/innovation etc plus the demand for the 5G iPhone should be the biggest ever for Apple.

Apple themselves said it it's a few weeks away not few months. Don't see that happening. November seems unlikely.I’m pretty confident the new iPhones will ship in November based on normal timing when it comes to production and stuff like that.
Well I have the same problem with AT&T’s LTE where I live. Bless their hearts they’re actually much worse here now than they were five years ago! But people living in the cities with decent 5G seem excited about it as do people who go to sporting events and usually have trouble getting a decent throughput due to congestion.I don’t understand the 5G craze, LTE is more that sufficient for most people. Thread in early 2011 before the iPhone 5 came out. When the iPhone 5 came out:
"I don't understand the 4G LTE craze, 3G HSPA is more than sufficient for most people. Not to mention, some networks aren't even fully done rolling out 3G HSPA, why begin another project? AT&T's 3G HSPA is so poor in my area."
There are hardly any LTE networks operational around the world. I won't expect the iPhone 6 to be LTE ready either. iPhone 7 at best.
2013. Most countries haven't even started building their LTE network.
As far as I can tell, we're not doing so great with the HSPA+ buildout, either!
don't know about this 'announcement' but Eddie is looking old and frail - I hope is the sh**it zoom transmission that is giving me that vibeNot yet.

Remember some people thought it was a clue that Apple used “add an event for September 30” in its iPad Air demo? Some people thought that might refer to when the iPhone announcements will be made. So yeah I think it probably is just a few days away.Apple themselves said it it's a few weeks away not few months. Don't see that happening. November seems unlikely.
Yep. I have plenty of LTE coverage most of the time (Verizon), but it still doesn't do me any good when congestion slows it to a crawl. Faster theoretical speeds means nothing to me. Many times I can turn off LTE and get faster speeds on the 3G network, which is totally bonkers. I literally don't care one bit about 5G right now, and probably won't for a couple years.
