Facebook works absolutely fine for me for the most part...
The only thing you cannot currently do on ios8 b1 is to reply to a comment / thread with a photo...there is no photo icon there on the keyboard.

This is the same behavior in both the app and the safari version

If anyone wants to try out verto for ipad let me know. Curious to see how it does.

I'll PM a free copy to the first person who quote-replies this post when I wake up tomorrow.

Tweetbot 3 needs to be closed when you retweet something, pull up a choice menu like when choosing a photo to post or changing the last two customizable tabs. The official Twitter client works flawlessly though.

I have no problems replying with a photo.

I don't have the whatsapp problem others are reporting? I did delete my iCloud backup before starting the app after seeing what people said. Seems to work fine so far. Settings crashes for me now and again.

Whatsapp seems to work fine. Only group chat was bugged for me. I had to rejoin some groups.. since then no problems ;)

My whatsapp started OK, but then i started to exchange messages with a friend and then whenever i open his conversation it crashed. Keeps happening even after a reseting the iphone...

It did displayed an ios 8 warning when i first opened it, but it seemed to have something to do with icloud storage of my whatsapp's conversations & media.

is anyone else having this issue?

Same here, but it only does that with a few friends. I went ahead and emailed the Whatsapp team for a heads up. I know that the beta is a day old, but it doesn't ever hurt to let them know as soon as possible! :)

----------

Stop whatsapp using icloud and it will work fine, least it does for me running on a 5S

How do you stop it? I turned auto backup off, but it's still trying to upload a backup even after I close the app completely. hmmmmm.

----------

I didn't see anyone else post it, but my Bug Reporter app is, ironically, bugged. haha. I open it and see some words for a split second, then the app just goes white. haha. I guess I won't be reporting that bug.

From @jankoum, creator of WhatsApp

very flattering to see Apple "borrow" numerous WhatsApp features into iMessage in iOS 8 #innovation

Does that mean he won't be fixing any time soon?

That's funny, because I think they got some of their features from Viber. I don't know why some people get so butt hurt. hahahaha. It's not like those millions of people are going to stop using whatsapp because Apple added voice messaging to iMessage. Whatsapp is cross-platform, iMessage isn't.

i solved my whatsapp issue by deleting the backups, then the app, and redownloading it again from app store.. granted, it means that i lose everything, but it's a small price compared to losing the few groups that i still have whatsapp for, and most of my friends and important communication happen on iMessage or Telegram (which works fine) anyway

Convinced myself to update to iOS 8, third party apps show quit a lot of bugs, but didn't expect anything else.
iOS 8 itself is relatively stable and only with very few and minor bugs. Whatsapp apparently is a bit annoying. Kind of does what it wants.
I am not sure whether Facebook should be in the working list, as videos do not play for me. Can anyone tell me wrong?

Inline videos in the news feed, or just all videos in general even when you tap them to open?

All videos, even when I tap them. I get the message that the video could not be played and I should check my Internet connection. Restart changed nothing. Using Wi-Fi and the Internet works.

Damn, and here was me getting very excited this morning whilst eating my breakfast about installing iOS 8 B1. :(

Haven't even got a spare iPhone to test it out. :(:(:(

Plants vs Zombies 2 has an interesting message that it will only sync icloud data with OSX 10.10 and ios8 devices. To get the message to go away, you have to turn the phone vertical, then click okay.

Other than that, the game is playable.

Every app you launch that syncs with iCloud on iOS8 or Yosemite displays that message. It's just to let you know that there's no turning back once you start beta testing new iCloud.

Not tried redownloading from the app store, but if you try syncing iPhoto from iTunes you get a rather confusing message about iPhoto not being supported on this device because it needs a newer version of iOS, but yeah it looks like it's been dropped and mostly incorporated into the Photos app.

Snapchat = seems to lag out and force close ONLY WHEN taking a video. Receiving video and taking photos work as expected.

Google Chrome = "Something's Not Right" error, as others have reported.

Nike fuelband app wasn't letting me sync over Bluetooth but deleting and reinstalling the app seemed to fix issues.

In that vein, a "reset all settings" seemed to fix 90% of my crashes and issues with apps and the system

Including whatsapp? :)

Waze renders the maps like non-retina, looks really bad
NYTnow crashes

Local news apps (Reforma & El Norte) render really really bad, unusable

I couldn't get whatsapp to work, besides whatsapp updates take like forever so I dont think they will make it right soon, just did a downgrade to 7.1

This beta is by far more buggy than 7.0B1
