Broken Apps w. iOS 8 B1

Pages and Numbers will not work with icloud. You get a message saying somthing about needing an IOS 8 update for icloud.. You then get a prompt to go to the app store.. But nothing.. Looked like iOS 7 iCloud & iOS 8 icloud are not compatible #

But then it started again to crash when clicking on certain conversations. I can delete this specific conversation and start it from scratch and it works again for some time, but it eventually will crash again and again.

yes 100% have the same issue - it only crashes for me on group conversations eventually.

There are iOS 8 versions of Pages and Numbers available for download at the Apple Developer Member Center on the iOS 8 Beta page.

I emailed them about beta testing iOS 7 this time last year, receiving a similar response from them about that too. I was told basically that they weren't doing an iOS7 beta prior to release...despite my argument of that being counter-intuitive and surely against the principle of 'closed' beta testing. This was still during the time when it displayed < 4inch, which surely wasn't going to change too much between beta and release.

Their attitude in this regard is somewhat childish, but then they don't really have the reputation that suggests otherwise. I thought it might just be me who received this kind of feedback, but apparently not.

I've turned off chat backup and had to delete all my histories, as well as prior to running well now having to kill a group or two multiple times. Fingers crossed the backup removal will work, and I would suggest that anyone who wants to keep their old chats can look at iTunes Backup Extractor and a wee program called WhatsApp-Extractor, the (low fee) paid version of which produces nicely arranged histories (and images) of your chats in HTML.

Yes. I got thoes.. Still not backwards compadible with ios 7 or Mavericks though.

I wonder how this will effect people who choose to not update Mavericks
 
whats strange is if i try and search apps in the app store it says it cant find anything. for example, tried downloading "instagram" from app store and it said no apps found
 
I can navigate menus and playlists within Xbox Music but it will not play any tracks for me, only every displaying a "Sorry, we can't lay this track" error message.
 
Can anyone confirm if Kindle is working or not? About to leave on a trip and just want to make sure it does for in flight reading before downloading iOS 8.

I deleted Evernote and I thought everything was working fine. Well until I made a notebook as offline (premium member features). Once I made a notebook offline it crashes anytime I click on a pdf attachment.

It's still working OK with me. Well, except for all the the damn syncing errors...

Nice to know I'm not the only one either. haha. With how long it took them to update their app last year, I'm sure we won't be able to use WhatsApp until at least 3 months after iOS 8 is released. Anyway, that's a good app to know about! I'll download the extractor right now!
 
Spotify - Sometimes refuses to go online even on a good wifi reception. I needed to remove it from the multitasking screen and then re-open it.

I found with WhatsApp, if you delete a message thread and start again, it won't crash, but when you reply to a message, it seems to scroll to the top of the page and won't allow you to scroll back to the bottom. You have to leave the thread.

Scratch that, WhatsApp is playing up now.

Just wanted to post that we've issued a beta to our beta team that fixes most of the issues with iOS 8. I'm not sure when this will be pushed to the App Store but figured I'd let you all know that progress is being made and that so far the results have been positive.

Thanks again for letting us know that you were having trouble.
 
Facebook and Verizon aren't working. Also my iphone (5s) keeps turning off and turning back off randomly when trying to load different apps. Anyone else experience the same problem.

I had the same problem and had to reset the entire phone.
