There are plenty of Rose Gold items, like other makes of watches or jewellery that are far less pink. In fact its more of a copper colour normally. I think Apple should have gone for the copper rose gold colour because then it would have appealed to both women and men equally. I think its absolutely fine for a man to have any colour he likes and if he likes the rose gold iPhone then why on Earth not. BUT, I think Apple would have hit a home run in popularity of the colour if they had chosen the more traditional coppery rose gold.

Yeah I love rose gold watches. It was disappointing to see apple go with such a pinkish gold.

I hate people's bs of unwritten code that pink is for girls. The color is for whoever chooses to wear it or just choose it. There will be never a code, people should get over it.

Oh come on man, since when has pink not been a girlie colour? I'm not talking about rose gold iPhones, just the colour pink.

This year's (and last's) standard gold colour looks like the two watches you posted. People seem to be wanting rose gold to look like the gold colour Apple already offer, or a copper pipe. Rose Gold is just Apple's take on pink and they're trying to be 'classy' by not calling it pink.

Yes I agree. The "regular" gold is quite nice and more rose gold than (yellow) gold.

Depends on the lighting condition. Now it looks like a deep salmon/copper hue which I like.
Outside in broad daylight it will look more faded pink but at least that's not NEON PINK which is what I sorta define as girly pink... if that sorta make sense.

I'm an asian guy rocking a rose gold 6s+, no shame indeed imo... I like something different, Everyone has the space gray, silver and gold. But imo both space gray/silver looked abit too dull, and the GOld had a more yellowish appearance rather than the champagne tone found in the 5s which I liked... and the Rose Gold catches my eye which surprised me because I did have my initial doubt about the color before.

But it's grown on to me.

I found it looking it's "pinkest" in the Apple Store, when the ceiling lights reflect off the light brown wood table top and then reflect off the back of the Rose Gold back, it really draws out the pink. Looks awesome, but unapologetically pink!

Haha yeah.
Do guys like the pink one better in China though? I haven't seen too many pink around Beijing.

No, to be honest, I do see a lot of men going for the gold one, and women with the pink one. Not to perpetuate stereotypes!

Although when it was first released, my male coworker wanted to get two pink ones from Hong Kong ... because he thought there would be a supply constraint for the pink and he could sell them on for a profit :p

The pussification of this world is something else. It is like people search for a new way to become offended. Good grief anymore I can refer to someone as 'mother***er' and all is well but the moment I refer to them as black, African American, Asian, Oriental, Mexican, or Spaniard then sh*t hits the fan.

Bro I completely agree with you. People getting more sensitive these days. Just finding a reason to cry over unnecessary things.

I've already stated that pink as a girl color is something that only happened within the last century and it was theorized to have been done by the Nazi. So have fun with that.

Well, I have only been alive within the last century...and so has almost everyone else currently walking the planet. You'll be very hard pressed to find someone who doesn't associate the colour pink with females.

Pink and Blue are universal in gender differentiation at birth. Go to any gift shop, clothing section, or baby aisle and the proof is right there. However, I feel the further you get away from that stage, the less gender specific the colors are. I am pretty certain that at birth, a baby girl wrapped and dressed in blue, in an all blue bassinet would confuse the hell out of people. Yet that same child 18 years later walking to her college class in blue jeans and a blue hoodie wouldn't bat an eye.

Pink is universal for breast cancer, yet guys rep it in pink as well. Pink is all over Victoria Secret yet pink shirts with grey suit coats are in every menswear location. Would I drive a pink car? No, yet neither would my wife.

The question shouldn't be is pink a 'girl's color', or can a guy rock a pink phone. The question should be, does a pink cell phone, this pink cell phone, look attractive? End of story.

And they're wrong.

And they're wrong.
It is what it is. Use a pink phone, have a pink pencil case, a pink pen, or a pink watch and people will look at you funny if you're a bloke. Take it on the chin, it isn't like you're forced to rock a pink iPhone.:p

I'll be going for these look with my RG phone. I'll be using a Spigen NH (Rose Gold) to compliment it.
