Can a jailbroken iPhone multitask without crashing? Hell no. Safari crashes daily. Run Pandora in the background and check you email.. crashes, hey what happened to Pandora?

what the heck are you talking about?

are you talking bad about a hacked version of Apple's software? i don't see how that is a point against the iPhone

Well, it is when people are trying to argue that a jailbroken iPhone can multitask like a Pre. Can't have it both ways, guys.

Even under 3G circumstances on the Engadget test the Pre won. (even tho supposidly Sprint's network is garbage...)

Coverage being garbage != network being garbage

If you have good coverage the network will be fine. But that's a bit of an IF. AT&T isn't a ton better but has a bit better coverage.

Oh and it's still CDMA which sucks for international coverage, but that isn't a major factor for many consumers.

True.

Yeah. I personally think the benefits of CDMA outweigh the benefits of GSM for me.

For instance i've been using 3G since 2005 haha. I feel as if AT&T and T-Mobilewere VERY late to the 3G party.

The Pre is coming to Europe later this year....i'm sure many people will be grabbing an unlocked one in the States.

ok i am calling you out too.. you keep saying desktop level multitasking ... and people have called you out saying please explain and you have YET to explain you just make some comment and dont back it up.. so please back it up or SHUT UP

Um, please see his post, #38, in this very thread. I'm glad he finally explained it and look forward to seeing it in action, live.

Ouch.

The one thing that the iPhone can't do is multitask with 3rd party apps.
Unless you're jailbroken with the "backgrounder app" from Cydia.
People always argue that iPhone can run background apps when jailbroken but when the iPhone runs out of memory it just crashes.
