My interpretation of that was that she was the death of humanity and human civilization in the sense that the humans abandoned Colonial civilization, and instead created a new human-cylon civilization. So "humanity" died out, thanks to Kara, and we (who are not fully human) are the children of this human-cylon story that began with Hera.

Exactly right! That's what I got from it too.

The Plan is going to deal with events right before the miniseries until the finale of Season 2 when the Cylons made the change that Caprica 6 and Boomer talked about in "Downloaded".

Also there is supposed to be a comic series coming out that will deal with Kobol and the 13th Tribe. Now I'm not sure if these will get the "Canon" tag from RDM seeing that he says he comics as of now are "Non-Canon". Apparently there will be some retconning in them based on the developments of the later part of the series compared to when we first heard about the Lords and all them in Season 1/2

I received Season 4.0 from the library after a very long hold period. Too bad the baby is arriving soon and distracting me from important things like watching the DVDs :p

Caprica is being released tomorrow on DVD, just in time for my son's birthday! Can't wait to see it!

So, did anyone else see it? I think this series is going to be very, very interesting... Lots to think about... :D

I think it has the potential to be more truly scifi than much else that's come out lately. I really shuddered in horror at the last scene... I just thought OMG, if this is how it started, no wonder there was a war... Lots of food for thought...

I need to get my hands on the DVD. I will beg my local library to add it to the collection ... or see if any of the local video stores have it.

I don't buy many DVDs, unless something is really worth it. I guess I would be getting the BSG ones if my local library didn't have them all. :D

Still watching Season 4.0 at the moment, had to ummm ... back a couple of episodes to my MBP to finish it, there were two holds on it at the library.

My local video shop is supposed to have gotten Caprica by now, but alas, their copy hasn't shown up yet. So the wait continues. :(

watched caprica recently. its interesting and going to be a much different series than BSG, but it has potential i'd say. only time will tell where they go with it.

I bought Caprica, and I very much enjoyed it. Looks to be filmed in a much more "normal" style compared to BSG. It will be different, but at the same time it has enough of the BSG feel to it that it feels in place with the BSG mythos and universe. I'm excited to see where the show will go and I hope the last episode will be as the First Cylon War begins and we see the Galactica either leave drydock or begin to be built like we saw with the Death Star at the end of "Revenge".

Also picked up the first issue of The Final Five comic, it doesn't add much more to the BSG, but it does answer some questions. Though the comics are to be taken as "non-canon" even though the producers and Sci-Fi allow them to be made and have their blessing.

I spotted (well, it's hard to miss) a Caprica ad on the NYT page (also addressing my complaint that the biggest problem with net advertising is how poorly it matches my interests!). It's just a bit over a month away. Meanwhile, I've actually yet to see either the Caprica DVD or The Plan.

According to the Wikipedia page (and also my previous understanding), at least The Plan is supposed to air on television at some time in 2010. I'm not sure what happens to the pilot episode of Caprica?

Ooo that's good at least.

In regards to Caprica, let's just say that won't be airing anytime soon on SyFy without some editing.
