The Plan and Caprica, in my view are completely unrelated.

By editing, I mean since it was a straight to DVD/Blu-Ray they need to clean it up for TV as they were a bit more liberal with body parts and cursing.

The Plan and Caprica, in my view are completely unrelated.

That was my understanding too -- Caprica takes place quite some time before BSG, on Caprica, and follows the ancestral families of some of the main BSG characters and some of the events that eventually lead to the fall of the colonies. The Plan takes place immediately before and during the Cylon attack....

Anyway, I want to see both, but Caprica is more pressing if they're not showing an edited version.

Oooh now I can't check this link at work, but...

It seems that Hulu has the Caprica pilot....

Does anyone know where i can see all the BSG episodes(full length) for free online,i have seen a couple of episodes(don't watch much tv) but i want to get into it. I've heard many good comments about the series plus i like sci-fi stuff.

www.hulu.com or maybe even www.scifi.com

Thanks for the info BUT when i go to syfy for example the episodes are like 4 minutes long i want to see the full length episodes,am i doing something wrong?

Those are webisodes. Seems SciFi (or syfy as they want to call them now) does not offer full episodes.

Hulu seems to be the same.

Why don't you go to the iTunes store and see if you can find the mini series (the extended pilot approx. 180 minutes) or maybe you can find it by other means (including some rental or video retail shop) and see if the series is for you.

The series becomes quite depressing if you follow through all seasons, so it might not be for you.

But start with the mini, just to see if it is for you. If it turns out it is not, give the first episode ("33") a try, if after that you're not hooked, maybe it shan't be.

I bought the Blu-Ray when it came out.

It was fantastic, it added a lot more to the story.

I'll check it out when I get a chance. I don't know about Caprica though. What I've seen so far looks boring. Plus, Eric Stoltz is so D-list it's ridiculous. He should have been gone a long time ago. I mean, if you're gonna go there, why not just get Andrew McCarthy and Judd Nelson too? And for me to say that about a redhead should tell you something.

And for me to say that about a redhead should tell you something.

I liked their approach of generally using unknown actors in BSG. But then again, Lucy Lawless was also very D-list, and she did fine in BSG. I'm not certain about Caprica... I'll give it a chance, but I'm not completely sold based on the pilot. It seems much more like traditional TV science fiction to me than BSG was.

^Gotta give Caprica a fair shot. I'm really looking forward to it. It is essentially the antithesis of BSG. There's more plot than BSG (which is saying a lot). Stoltz did a fine job on his character.

Yeah- but Lucy Lawless also had huge cult status in a lot of circles because of Xena, and also wasn't in a lead role. Stoltz just isn't lead material anymore. He's not a heavy. I watched a preview of the show and wasn't too impressed with him at all. He's still cute, but that's it.

You guys can let me know then. I may change my mind.

I have seen only part of the Caprica pilot (assuming that is what the DVD release had), and I haven't gone back to finish it.

It was normal scifi for me, nothing BSG like at all. But if I get a chance to finish it and change my mind, I will admit to that.

Alright, I'm calming down...

Here's some more airings of BSG: The Plan on SyFy in the next couple of weeks for anybody else that missed it:
