read the comments on here and you'd think Apple has just announced that it's no longer making the iPhone. People need to relax. Its a freaking playlist. Chill. Besides, Burberry has a history of supporting emerging artists from the UK. if this allows those artists to reach a wider audience then what's wrong with that?

What a load of BS.
Apple, you need to take a look at yourself lately.
A Burberry Music channel?! C'mon!
Pathetic.

Each day, Tim Cook is making Apple less and less for the any man.

You're right - in and of itself it's not evidence of anything - but it is another drop in the proverbial bucket. Apple is clearly going a new direction - one that focuses much more on fashion, music, being hip, designer brands etc. and I think that disappoints a lot of people. It feels to many like the technology and experience has taken a back seat to fashionable. It is really disappointing, honestly, to see a company so many love fundamentally change like this and go off on so many tangents.

You might want to actually read what people have posted first... IT'S JUST A PLAYLIST! Any brand can become a Curator. It is not a 'CHANNEL', just a 'CONNECT' page. Any brand can set one of those up if they do what burberry does, as some have already said, While a fashion label. Burberry activily seeks out and promotes new music. More than MOST radio stations. Uses it on the catwalk and adverts.

This is complete clickbait and Mac Rumors is fast becoming the Daily Mail of the Tech world. Headline something to get the angry hoard commenting without actually reading or understanding.

glad Apple is focusing on this stuff with Apple Music rather than making the user interface usable and worthwhile.

And this shouldn't be either. A much better front page story would be Sketch announcing they're not bringing an app to the iPad Pro because they don't know if it's worth the effort or sustainable to do so.
I think this is the only site you go to, truly a apple fanboy

I'm totally aware of what Apple music is. The whole Beats/ Music experience is not a quality service whether you pay for it or not. I think you need to learn to read and comprehend. I've been in the music industry probably longer that you've been around.
Oh. My apologies, I did not realize you were so much more qualified and was not previously aware of my reading deficiencies, but now I have been corrected and understand better that your statements are of higher importance and validity. You are superior to me in every way and I have made an error in questioning your forum post.

Why??? Why would anyone want this? What's next? Playlists by Walmart?

When you hire a "bozo" (such as Angela) it leads to a bozo explosion. Bozos doing bozo things and hiring bozos. Good call Steve.

M

Music is music why would it matter where it comes from... No need to put Women down ... I'm certain your mother would like others to listen to her playlist.

He did not put woman collectively down in his post, he put Angela down. BIG difference.

I can see the point for a Rolling Stone (the magazine) or a Q channel as they are both well established music magazines, but I also fail to see how a Wired channel could be relevant and a Burberry channel for that matter. But to be honest it is so unimportant to me (though interesting) that I can't be bothered to be annoyed by it when I open Apple Music.
At the end of the day these are music playlists. Who cares where they're coming from? One of the Burberry playlists is putting a spotlight on new British music. To be honest I'd probably be more interested in something like that than a Rolling Stone playlist. I see a lot of elitism in this thread but in the reverse.

"Jeeves, please turn on the Burberry channel while you drive me to the Billionaire's Club, and I don't want to be disrupted while listening. Now pass me the Grey Poupon to put on my duck."

I do say that sounds splendid my good sire.

Sorry but this might be the most uninteresting article ever posted on MR. I really don't see why this is news.

Actually, I agree with you (and reverse my previous stance in part). As long as there is a good curator behind it then great. What no-one needs though is another list that contains the current top 40 of mainstream music. I know where to find Kanye, Beyonce and Taylor Swift whenever I need them.

Ah yes, clothes designers are always my go to people for advice on music....

But eh, whatever floats peoples boats I guess.

Get over it....

While I am shrugging at the news, I'm also wondering why this is causing so many negative comments. I mean, there are some intense reactions here. Are you guys mad at Apple for picking Burburry or Macrumors for posting the story?
