The iPad calendar is OK. The iPhone calendar is truly awful. Everybody I know is complaining about it and downloading replacement versions.

Of all the calendar views to chose they picked the worst - the day view. It's a scrolling nightmare.

My biggest complaint about the new calendar is that it no longer shows different calenders as different colored dots in the monthly view. I work a job where my different calenders help me determine my monthly pay at a glance. Removing this differentiation totally screws that up for me. At least (for now) I can still estimate at a glance based on my Mac.

I agree. Whilst I quite like the lean look of the app, someone somewhere appears to be unaware of one of the fundamentals of UI design: use small regions of saturated colour to draw the eye's attention. The 'today' marker does a good job of that, but calendar events do not.

Ultra-discrete grey blobs that signify calendar events defeat the purpose of drawing one's eye to those events.

Absolutely agreed. The calendar app is the one single thing that I hate in iOS 7. Others are fine. The preview pane below the monthly calendar is very very important for me and I just have to dig out my old calendar apps (which were downloaded when they're free or reduced in price... :p) and try to use them again....

That is not the same function. People should stop posting this like it is a solution.

Its the same function as the old list view that a few people have mentioned that they missed. Whilst not identical to the old month view with a couple of lines underneath its also not a bad option to replace it if the new month view is that offensive to people.

It's not the SAME function as it does not remain in view if you move to another app and come back; also, you cannot create a new event from the "list" even though one could using the iOS 6 calendar.

Seriously.

All Apple had to do was make a calendar app similar to the calendar version on Mountain Lion.

FFS Steve is rolling right now.

I bought Calendars 5 today and like it a lot. You guys should give it a try, if you don't like it they will refund you (at least that's what I read)

If I buy it for the iPhone, will I also have it for the iPad? $6.99 ffs...

Clicking on the Search magnifying glass in iOS7 on either an iPhone or iPad brings up the event list organized by days.

It's a help, thank you. Makes it easier to see hidden odd timed events.

Out of curiosity, when you set an event as "all day", how do you make the alerts not at 9AM?
