I think the major complaint here is that Apple is not competing with Steam. In fact, their offer is not what I would call "competitive" at all. It sucks.
But why do you care ? If you don't like what Apple is charging, buy from Steam.

Also, with Steam, even if your Windows install changes that doesn't matter, you can download the game as many times as you like. I've done it a couple of times.
Picture very related. Never underestimate a Steam sale. Also, iLife and Mac OS X are even easier to get a hold of.To be honest, there's probably more money in Mac gaming than PC gaming. Outside of Steam I'll bet more than 50% of PC gamers torrent their games and wouldn't dare spend one red cent on a game if they can find a way to get it free. This is not to say Mac users don't do this but there are PC users on several forums I've visited that admited they've illegally torrented Windows 7 and Starcraft 2.
Offline mode is rather easy to abuse for singleplayer games a well.exactly, with steam, if you own the game you really own it, you play it on whatever the hell you want, home gaming computer, gaming laptop, work computer, install it as many times as you want.
that show it should be.

My money is laughing all the way into Valve's pockets.

Wow. So true... I even got tears rolling down my cheeks.
I'm glad you enjoyed it while it lasted. Steam was rather dead to me until Left 4 Dead came out. Though I had an account only a few months after the launch of Half Life 2. It was only the installer for HL2 up until that point.ahh thats funny (comic) but in canada where i live, even during the christmas crazy download time it still maxed my connection out at 1.5MiB/s
also steam allows you to preload a game weeks in advance of its release, so the second it strikes midnight you can play

Wow this forum is terrible. Why do you remove images?
A bit random with Call of Duty 4.... Surely they'd want their most recent title Modern Warfare 2 on there first? And then add the older games.
Aspyr violates apple regulations by dumping files into documents folder without user's approval. I am not talking about save files but configuration files. These should't be in documents folder. Apple clearly states this location is user's domain and should only be modified by the user. Hopefully, by the inclusion to the app store, Aspyr will fix this for steam users too. I don't actually like the idea of Apple controlling what kind of apps users should use, but forcing developers to make software appropriately does seem to be a good idea sometimes.
I wish black ops was released too since I already finish CoD 4 long ago.
All of my CoD4 files are in /Applications/Call of Duty 4/. Where did you install CoD4 to?
Id like to see Aspyr bring Quake Wars to the App Store. Its my all-time favorite game, but that key disc is annoying! The Mac App Store does eliminate that particular pain.
qw:et was the weirdest game i've ever played. the whole feel of it just felt like a conglomeration of weirdness. it got a lot of hype though.
