Call of Duty 4 for Mac Now Available

Playing Call of Duty 4 on a 20" imac intel core duo.

I'm not sure if I'm able to play Call of Duty 4 on my iMac. My computer meets all the specs other that it requires a intel core 2 Duo. Mine is a intel core duo. Does it really require the 2 in Duo in order to play the game? Might sound like a silly question, it's just that I don't want to spend upward to $70 on a game I will not be able to play. I look forward to your response.

This is an official update for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This patch will update any retail version of the game to version 1.7. This patch brings the Mac version of the game up to the current PC version so Mac users will be able to play cross platform multi-player games.



1.7 Change list

- New maps Creek, Chinatown, Broadcast, and Killhouse
- Hardcore and oldschool server browser filters
- Fix for a Denial of Service attack.
- Fixed an exploit that allowed players to access certain console dvars during multi-player matches.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when a Chinatown Sabotage match would go into over-time.
- Fixed a bug where the MP icons (Bomb, Defend, Capture, etc) were always showing up as English regardless of the install language.




** Loaded the version of the update for copies downloaded from GameAgent and it is working fine. I see over 7000 servers now in the game browser!!

Mac osx call of duty 4 creating server

hi

i have a apple i mac all in one with the software mac osx

when i play on cod 4 mac i want to create mi own server but i cant i try to but when i click ok it comes up with waring unknown dvar bg_shock_volume_weapon2d in file shock/damage_mp.shock
and other lines like that saying slightly different things

im not sure how to make it work properly

I was once addicted to CSS particularly in the PC days. Can this game play via the same servers as PC gamers and, do mac have Team Speak compatibility?

actulley i have a mac osx and it works well with 99% of all the servers the only 1s i cant get on is the ones im banned from

Quick leveling etc in multiplayer.

Found a way to edit your stats if you're running the mac version. You'll need 2 things.

The cheat table from: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=87EBVHK4
And the cheating tool that opens the cheat table. It's called Bit Slicer, and available here: http://forum.portingteam.com/viewforum.php?f=245

In bit slicer, select your already running multiplayer app within bitslicer. Go to File > Open... and choose the .slice file you just downloaded. And there you go, you should see all your stats. To edit one, find the right line, and double click on the number. Change it to anything you wish.
