I tried the Chat option, but it said not available for this item, didn't feel like calling at the time. Is calling the only way to report the issue?

Unfortunately yes but it's a relatively painless process.

I'm getting re-boots once every so often. I'd hate to have to burn the thing to the ground as I've downloaded lots of music and would have to do it all over again.

Your iPad is completely rebooting? If so it's definitely defective. If you back it up in iTunes it should be a simple restore when you get a replacement unit.

Good to know, keep us updated. I didn't restore from a backup, but I still might try this. Thanks

Safari crashed on me twice today. I'm on the fence if I'm going to exchange it out for a new unit or not. Either way I'm covered for one year under warranty. However I'm really annoyed by this issue.

Ok yeah Apple is failing. I tried to report Safari issues on iOS 7 and OSX and got some crap about your product isnt supported. If Apple isnt ready to stand behind their products, they arent ready for release. Apple really needs to invest more on their software seriously. The online store is a mess. Their iWork is feature less and now iOS 7 feels like its not ready for prime time as it is not very stable particularly Safari.

Normally I'm the one everybody calls a fanboy, but lately I'm pretty disappointed. Between my iPad Air, and Mavericks on my Mac, I'm pretty frustrated with my devices right now. Both are new, so I understand a few problems, but it's not what we've come to expect from Apple.

Between the larger size which I'm not liking, and the crashes, I'm returning my Air this week. I just purchased another ipad mini, and I'll probably still try the new mini as soon as I can get my hands on one. Even though I should know better after the air:D.

Tim Cook doesnt have the eye for detail that Steve Jobs did. I feel like while Tim is good at operations and distribution type stuff. He is a bad fit for the role of CEO. The software is seriously lacking.

my ipad air has done this once, but my iphone 5s has done this multiple times.

Exchanged my ipad oar for a new retina ipad mini, was hoping it would be better, I don't think it's any better. Safari keeps crashing on me:mad:.

I also returned my iPad Air and purchased a rMini. Unexpectedly I'm not seeing the same Safari crashing issues on my rMini. I can open Apple.com in 4+ tabs without issue.

That's great, I seem to have fewer crashes, but I haven't used it very much yet. Also I'm hoping today's update will fix this.

Yeah, I shouldn't say it's perfect because I had one crash. However it's seems much better.

Yeah, right. MobileMe, iOS 4 on iPhone 3G, faulty antennae on i4, Lion, FCPX's botched launch... None of that would happen under Jobs.

Oh, wait!

True. It's not as if Steve Jobs oversaw a launch of a MacBook Air whose processor ran so hot that it frequently shut off an entire core. :D

I just got a new iPad air, after getting several crashes on my first one. Not a single crash yet. So maybe exchanging is worth a shot.

I've had a couple of crashes using Safari but I'm not taking it back. It took 4 tries to get this Air with a near perfect screen and it isn't going anywhere.

My iPad Air crashes all the time in Safari and system log has low memory as the culprit. So, what is the verdict, is this a software issue or bad memory and I should exchange for a new one? Thanks!

Have an appointment at Genius Bar today, but don't want to exchange it, if that will not fix the crashes.

I found another webpage that crashes safari every time I tried to load it. Seems like software to me.

Maybe the lower gamut is preventing the crashes. :)

(ps -- love my rMini.)

Excellent point, or least they aren't as noticeable with an average Delta-E of 6.5 across the gamut. Whatever that means. :p
