My point is people seem to have this irrational desire to see change for the sake of change. I'm not saying there shouldn't be improvements and refinements, but there's only so much you can do with these devices at this point.

I'm sure people said that about flip phones in 2000 something.... there's always a new design or innovation to be done trust me, and Apple certainly has the cash laying around to invest in R&D but developing new products and innovating cuts in to your bottom line, especially when people are willing to line up and buy the same old design..... Apple is too focused on becoming the first Trillion dollar company right now.

Nah, in the early 2000s it was quite evident by how many different and wacky designs were coming out that flip phones were not the be all and end all.

But anyway I'm not saying they should just sit still. More that the iPhone (and iPad, MacBook and iMac) have evolved into a mature general design (iPhones and iPads being slabs of glass essentially).

Anyone know why the OP's suspended? Or did MacRumors suspend him because he was undermining Macrumors' own sources? :p

On a more serious note, i'm very sceptical about him having an 'inside source' and would be inclined to believe that these are just the OP's own predictions (though quite plausible).

See post #173 for your first question.

Also, I Don't believe this individual has a source. Even though there are some final details that seem very likely, most of these claims the OP is making has already been generated of months of rumors. If the OP made these claims a month or so back, then it would have more of a source factor behind the predictions/claims, then I would believe this individual has a source.

I would guess their promotion would have you pay $350 ish for the iPhone 8 after bill credits over 24 months. Not a bad thing, but god TMobile fails at properly adding bill credits. I had a nightmare trying to figure out why my credits weren't being applied monthly.
I went through the same. They screwed up my credits so bad I effectively got the 6s plus I’m using now for free. But it took calling a few times a month over three months to get it done.

One of our lines had two phones on it too. Nobody knows how. When it came time to return it keep the phone they were only able to put one phone on the monthly
Payment plan. But to help with that they just credited our account the value I paid upfront to pay for the screw up. So I got another $160 ish off that phone plus whatever the credits (I think they were $8 per month for that phone) we were given.

$350 is a bit higher than I’d like. In my head I had a cap of $300. But I guess we will see what they end up doing. At the very least I need a new battery for the 6s plus. Or a battery case. Will have to do some prioritization.

I’m likely to want the lte Watch too assuming I can stream audio while in a run and it doesn’t raise my monthly bill too much. Trying to keep myself from justifying “just another $10” here and there. Adds up when you look at a year or two of spending lol.

I'm looking at the Watch too. I think I might just go LTE-less since I'm debating whether I should get the aluminum or the SS.

Regarding T-Mobile, this was their promotion breakdown last September for the iPhone 7/7+ upgrade:
TMoiPhone7TradeInPricing-660x334.jpg

I would guess that the same applies, with the exception that the 6/6+ are removed, and the new tiers are 7/7+ and 6s/6s+ for either a free iPhone 7s or $120 iPhone 7s+ ($120 being the difference between the lowest price for each model).

Assuming the base iPhone Edition starts at $999, that's a $350 hike between the iPhone 7s (assuming prices stay the same) and the Edition model. I don't see them offering a better discount for those with the "plus" models either.

Maybe check out BeatsX. They basically have 99% of the features of AirPods since they both use the W1 Apple chip. I got them on sale from Best Buy for $99 and they definitely sound better as well. Plus they are really good at noise cancelling.

Noise isolation rather cancellation but they don't seem bad for being Beats. Maybe apple knocked some sense into the company after they acquired them.

Makes sense. Would be great if they just divided the $350 oventhe twk years. You have to stay with them the two years anyway for the benefit. May as well pay $14.50 a month while I’m at it.

Will be interesting to see what various telcos docto compete this year.

Supervising your own children is ridiculous and not practical? o_O Sorry but that in itself is ridiculous, it's a parents responsibility to supervise their own children. AirPods are a great product but if you can't trust your own children with them then don't give them AirPods. As an adult I know that.
Lmao you really don't understand what I was saying.

Think there are reports on that weibo website the battery capacity of the iPhone 8 is 2700 mah, anyone else seen this?

Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that spec more than half a year ago.

I had missed that earlier. Interesting though, that would put the battery capacity much closer to the 7 Plus than the 7, while the device is physically much closer in size to the 7.

I think they should name it iPhone X.

I'm also hoping for a Plus model with a larger screen. (I have a 7 Plus now and don't want to downgrade).

The X or whatever it'll be called will have the same screen size as your 7 plus. How is it downgrading?

I own a pair of them and I'm absolutely happy about the noise isolation they provide. Pairing is super easy, battery life is ok, reception is great (I can walk far away from my iPhone, even the Watch loses connectivity but I can still listen to stuff on the BeatsX)

He may have a source as far as we know, but most of the things he wrote have been rumoured in the past weeks.
The only novelty is the price of the 4K Apple TV and of the charging pad, but they might be educated guesses.

I agree on the fact that a similar post in July would have been a different story

Wrong predictions on the iPhone tiers and on the names, and even on the Watch since series 2 is gone and series 1 is the cheap alternative.
No HomePod, no Macs.

You had the Apple TV right, and some stuff about the Watch

Believe it, don't, that's up to you. Going off some inside info from a source that's been reliable to me in the past.

RELEASES:

iPhones
  • 7S, 32GB/128GB/256GB, Starting at $649
  • 7S Plus, 32GB/128GB/256GB, Starting at $769
  • Edition, 64GB/256GB/512GB, Starting at $999
  • No SE update at this time. iPhone 6 and SE remaining as current prepaid options.
Processor, and slight camera improvements to 7S/Plus. 3GB RAM on both 7S and Plus models. Faster processor on Edition model. Wireless charging across all models. Same screens from 7 range on 7S/Plus. Improved screen on Edition. Edition to feature facial recognition for unlocking, as well as a sort of "always on" type display feature.

Tablets
  • No new releases
  • Quiet removal of Mini 4 post Keynote update
  • Sales numbers touted heavily
Not much to see here, due to the recent refreshes. Mostly touting numbers and the recovery of the platform without saying things like "recovery" or "We almost really screwed up here". Mini removal is likely at this time.

Watches
  • S3. Minor spec bump, new LTE model, starting at $369 on Non-LTE.
  • S2 price drop, remaining for sale, starting at $269
  • S3 Metallic finishes to match iPhone Edition.
  • New S3 Edition model with lower price than Ceramic S2
Overall minor refresh. No immediately apparent external changes, though the measurements will change slightly on the S3 models, similar to S0 to S2. LTE models to be promoted heavily via carriers, but will still require an iPhone to take full advantage of features. $5/mo line access for most carriers on LTE model, but possible incentives when linked with an iPhone through the carrier (on a payment plan) as well. Worth noting, this section of the event may be delayed until the Spring event based on external factors, but the updated watches are currently prepared to launch. S1 watches may receive a further price drop, but more likely will be discontinued.

Macs
  • iMac Pro highlighted, firm release date given w/ preorder date as well
  • No Mac Mini at this event
  • No Mac Pro at this event
Not much to see here either. Small mention, sales touted, etc.

Apple TV
  • New 4K model, Starting at $199
  • Non 4K model will *potentially remain* at lowered price
Not a whole lot here, but a big release for some that have been waiting for 4K support. Info wasn't clear on the current generation Apple TV, but it seems it will potentially remain with a slight price cut. 4K model will receive a faster processor as well, but not much beyond that and 4K. Design to be the same.

HomePod
  • Highlighted again, but more briefly
  • Release date announced, along with preorder date
Mostly just a "wrap up" from the WWDC announcement. Expect this section to be brief.

Software
  • iOS 11 release
  • watchOS 4 release
  • macOS High Sierra release
  • Integration features highlighted, some brief demos
The usual here. Nothing surprising, and the brief demos may be cut for time, based on other announcements.

Accessories
  • New cases and case colors for 7S, 7S Plus, Edition
  • Wireless charging accessory/dock, starting at $99
  • New watch band colors
All the usual and expected here. No smart connector iPad accessories at this event.

That wraps it up. These predictions will remain unedited until after the keynote, at which point I will edit strictly to point out accuracy of each prediction, as well as to add an overall accuracy rate to the post. Source will remain unnamed to to sensitivity of information, and requests for information on this source will be ignored.
On the off chance that you do ever come back from suspension, I am curious about what your source has to say regarding his/her inaccuracy.

He will have nothing to say because his whole post was BS and he got really salty when people dared to question his "source".

I genuinely could have done a better job than his "leak" just by guessing and regurgitating the leaks up until that point.

He pretty much got everything wrong that wasn't entirely based on prior leaks. The new info and details in his post is almost entirely wrong.

I'm sure if he does resurface though he will claim that apple changed their pricing and plans for the keynote and that when he wrote it, it was all correct and apples plan at that moment.

The OP's information completely contradicted info from Kuo, which was a big warning.

The RAM and storage information was wrong. We knew as early as June/July 2017, only the dual-camera models would get 3GB of RAM. And the storage capacities would be 64/256GB.

These specs are locked in early unlike pricing, which can change.

OP could have flown under the radar if he mirrored Kuo's statements.

The biggest tell in my opinion was OPs claim there would be three OLED storage options. A high end model facing production woes was never going to come in three flavors, especially if Apple was already launching two other non-OLED models.

Wow, OP had more wrong than right- despite the plethora of leaks we've had.

Every year we get people who think they know some feature is absolutely certain about the next iPhone and turn out wrong. But this is just hilarious.
