So I got into the hype of the double cameras that the 7 Plus comes with. Well now that I have my phone I feel like it was a mistake, especially since I still have my old 6 around and I can compare the two. The Plus is just too unwieldy...almost tempted to take it back and have it exchanged with a non Plus model.

Anyone know what the restocking fee is like at Apple Stores?

Since you are within the 14 day grace period you should be fine. I'm assuming you will want the iPhone 7 as a replacement. So you might run into a stock issue.

At least give yourself a chance to try out the new dual cameras. You aren't impressed with them at all? How about the better display resolution on the bigger iPhone? You have 14 days so give yourself a chance to at least absorb the differences in a more positive way. It is unwieldy but while you have the chance at least check it out and put it through its paces and see what the hype was all about.

If you really can't get used to it just take it back and get your money back. Unfortunately you're gonna have to wait to get a 7 as it is sold out ever here.

This is exactly why I'm hesitant in getting my wife the Plus model. I think she would highly enjoy the camera's more than me but it's that size factor. And to be honest I don't see any reason for her to switch from a 6S to a 7.
As for me I'm getting a Plus but I also have a SE to fall back on. The SE and Plus is a nice combo. I will must likely buy a SE sequel when it comes out if Apple keeps the price in check.

Give it three days. I can't imagine going back to a 4.7" phone now, and when I hold a 5/5s/SE, it feels like a toy.

If after a few days you feel the same way, then return it.

FYI my wife went from the 6 to the 7 plus, and she grabbed her old 6 last night to send herself some pictures from it and said "wow this feels so small now". IMO the size is really easy to adjust to, and the perks are well worth it.

I came from a iPhone 5 to a 6s plus a few weeks ago. It felt huge the first few days, but now I love it. I'd never go back. And it's funny, I ripped on the bezels on the 6s plus, but after playing with my brother in laws s7 edge I'm happy the bezels are there.

6s plus has really made me like apple again. Great phone.
Having said that, I'm not touching ios10 with a 30 foot lightning cable.

the 6s Plus 6 Plus and now 7 Plus are Poorly designed when You consider their Giant Bezels I own a Note 5 and when you consider Samsung is able to Fit a 5.7" 1440p OLED display into a device that Thinner and Lighter than the 7 Plus which is stuck at 5.5" and 1080p and is Physically much larger wider and heavier.

I spent the last year with my 6s Plus. Loved it for the most part, but there were lots of situations where it became sort of unwieldily and I wondered what it would be like if I switched back to the 4.7-inch phone.

So this year, I got an iPhone 7. And since getting it yesterday, I do miss the big screen, but honestly I'm getting used to this smaller one again + the portability is so, so nice. I think the usage patterns for me was to try to do literally everything on that screen, including reading books and watching movies and I came to the conclusion that it's still way better on an iPad. So, when I need a portable computer on me, that I don't fuss with in size, I'm more than happy with the 7.

Plus, the battery life gap between the 7 and 7 Plus is the closest it's ever been, so battery isn't too huge of a deal for me anymore. And I got the 256GB model, which I'm very happy to compromise on in trading the bigger size for.

To each their own!

Thing is what are you going to use it for? If you truly want a phablet for what you will be doing, keep it and you will not be sorry.

However, if phablet duties are secondary or minimal then just exchange for the smaller Iphone.

You can probably sell the + for extra few bucks. Good secondary market demand it seems.

And buy a 7 from Apple.

I went 6s Plus last year and liked it for a while but wished I could turn off the landscape view of springboard and mail. Yes you can turn on rotation lock to get rid of those but then have to turn it off to take landscape pictures or watch videos. And then the thing was just real big in my pocket - it wasn't good. So I went back to the standard size with the 7 and couldn't be happier with that decision.

I downsized from the 6S Plus to the 7 this year, and so far I have no regrets. The Plus is super fun to use when sedentary, but in nearly every other situation the standard size is much more useable/manageable.

The regular 7 is definitely more convenient and much easier to use one handed one the go. But I miss the larger size for reading and getting business done on the go.

I have downsized from a 6 plus to a 7. I liked the larger screen on the 6plus but it was just too big to take around. It would not fit in my pockets and as I use the phone mainly for calls and texts, I decided I could manage with the 7. I use my iPad for reading and games.

This is what I did last year when I exchanged my 6S+ for the 6S. Check every morning to see if your desired model is available, then make a pickup reservation at the store. They can refund your phone and buy the new one at the same time.

You will get use it. It seems intimidating at first but after a week you'll start to think how you used such small phone before.
