You get used to the larger size very quickly....just have to give it some time. Granted, I've never had an iPhone BUT when I first got the Note 4 I returned it thr next day bc it was huge. A month later got it again....now I could never have a smaller phone.
You don't get used to it. You put up with it. Anybody that want the larger screen, puts up with the bigger size. If you could get a 5.5 inch screen in a SE sized phone(obviously impossible), everybody would have one. I had the 6, then the 6 plus, and now the SE. Loving the SE. Regular 6, 6S, 7 phones are fine. I will never have a "plus" sized phone again. (Disclaimer: I don't use my phone to watch TV, movies or any video other than an occasional youtube video. It is a portable device and is used as such. Otherwise I'm on my MacBook, such as now.)

Same boat; had both he 6+ and the 6S+. GREAT phones. Glad I had the better cameras in them for a few trips I was lucky enough to have taken. The pictures I took are treasures I'll never forget.

My issue is that I lost weight--about 30lbs. Had to "downsize" my trousers, and the pockets got smaller. The Plus phones didn't fit right in a pocket & I never found a way to sit down with a + in a pocket. Having to hold the phone in my hand every time I wanted to sit isn't convenient for me.

Bought just the regular iPhone 7 this week. So much better. And now the camera -- OIS, anyway--is on the regular iPhone so am not missing anything there.

I know I'll miss the better battery life of the +, but I've got chargers everywhere & it's worth it to have a phone that feels better to me these days. I'll still recommend a Plus for camera enthusiasts--it's a great camera in a phone--but am gonna stick with the "regular" iPhone for now.

How would you rate your battery life on the regular iPhone 7 compared to the 6s Plus? I'm thinking about downsizing as well but battery life is pretty important to me.

I just switched from a 6S+ to a regular 7 yesterday afternoon. So far, the battery life has been quite good. Not quite ready to say it's better than the plus (need some more time to test) but it seems to be pretty close so far! Clearly Apple's chip team did some impressive work with the low power cores in the A10.

I had a 6 and 6s. I was always intrigued by the +'s optical video stabilization and longer battery life, but it wasn't enough to sway me. I'm a girl and most of my pants pockets can barely fit my 6s, plus I have smaller hands than most guys. But there are a couple of things that swayed me this time:

- I love taking photos and that telephoto lens is just awesome.
- Extra battery life is a bonus.
- Winter will be here soon, so I'll have my nice big winter coat pockets, then in the summer I'll have to buy new pants anyway because mine are old and ripping, so this time I'll look for ones with big pockets.
- My main job is a desk job so the phone will mainly be sitting on my desk for 40 hours a week (when the 6 came out, I commuted to college, took trains, walked between classes, constantly moving etc).
- I now have an Apple Watch, so I'll be more ok with leaving my phone in a bag. I won't need to constantly check it because the notifications will go right to my wrist.

So there you have it. Hopefully I won't regret my decision when my 7+ comes on 10/05, but if I do I have thirty days with Verizon to change my mind (and I'm sure by then all the 7s will be in stock).

Oh yeah that makes sense. Hard to judge after a day. Yeah I have a 7+ Jet Black on preorder and looking at October but I'm highly considering walking into a store today and grabbing a regular 7 Matte Black. Decisions decisions!

I said that before I went from a 6 plus to a 7, best decision I've ever made with iPhone, love the plus but it was too big with those bezels and easier to use one hand.

Well I'm still trying to talk myself into sticking with the Plus, but man it is not practical.

I'm on the verge of returning my Plus and going to a regular 7. After 2 years of the Plus I'm still not used to the big size and lack of one handed usage

It's too early to say; since I picked up the 7 on Friday, I've just now completed a full battery cycle.

My usage is a little abnormal, as it's a brand new device…so am going a little hog-wild in using it a lot, answering my family's questions to see it/look at it/play with it, stuff like that.

The true test for battery life of an iPhone 7 vs. my now-sold-on-eBay 6S+ will probably be midweek, after putting the phone through the paces of a regular work week.

I'll check back in then.

I will say for now that with heavy usage, the battery life is about the same--if not a little worse--than the 6S+. Which is to be expected.

I was curious about that. My biggest reason for always getting the Plus is battery life. Are you saying the 7 battery life is better than the 6s?

Yes. Better than the 6s, and this generation, pretty close to the 7+ in everything besides audio playback (but I'm pretty good with listening to audio for 60 hours!)

I came from a iPhone 5 to a 6s plus a few weeks ago. It felt huge the first few days, but now I love it. I'd never go back. And it's funny, I ripped on the bezels on the 6s plus, but after playing with my brother in laws s7 edge I'm happy the bezels are there.

6s plus has really made me like apple again. Great phone.
Having said that, I'm not touching ios10 with a 30 foot lightning cable.

I came from a 6 to a 6s Plus. Like you, I adjusted really quickly and will never go back. I have read that a lot of people with the S6 and S7 are getting false touches because of the lack of bezels. Watching video in landscape is also a pain. Sometimes large bezels have an advantage

I also installed iOS 10 and I am really liking it. The Apple maps redesign is amazing. The clear, simple and bold script is a joy for my tired eyes. Really well done.

If I eventually come to a decision, I feel like my most significant upgrade going from a 6+ to a 7 will be the smaller size!

It's just too big for me when I'm not using it.

I went 6s Plus last year and liked it for a while but wished I could turn off the landscape view of springboard and mail. Yes you can turn on rotation lock to get rid of those but then have to turn it off to take landscape pictures or watch videos. And then the thing was just real big in my pocket - it wasn't good. So I went back to the standard size with the 7 and couldn't be happier with that decision.

If you change the screen view to zoomed it will automatically kill landscape view on the springboard.
