So I got into the hype of the double cameras that the 7 Plus comes with. Well now that I have my phone I feel like it was a mistake, especially since I still have my old 6 around and I can compare the two. The Plus is just too unwieldy...almost tempted to take it back and have it exchanged with a non Plus model.

Anyone know what the restocking fee is like at Apple Stores?

Seeing as they are out of stock of the Plus models try and sell it for a profit then buy a 7. Worth a shot?

You will get use it. It seems intimidating at first but after a week you'll start to think how you used such small phone before.

I could get used to using that size phone (I would probably prefer it), but not actually transporting it everywhere.
This would require me to either carry it in my hands the whole time, where I normally keep it in my pocket (it won't reasonably fit in many of my pockets). Or, I need to start bringing a bag or satchel everywhere I go. I simply would not get used to that. And to the extent I could I would still always prefer simply having the phone in my pocket.
Portability is the bigger factor for me. As it is I sometimes can't take 2 steps up a staircase at a time without the 6 digging into my hip. I'm already compensating for that size.

I have the 6 plus now and I waited in line for the 7 plus apperently no stock. So, now im planning to try the iphone 7 and if I don't like it i'll just wait and exchange it with 7 plus.

I do sports sometimes and with a big phone like the 6 plus. It is really in convenient and I take the bus all the time, I ride my longboard with me for commute. It is so hard to one hand use for 6 plus.

I had my 6+ for 2 years. I gave it 2 years to get used to it. I still felt it was too big on the last day.

Give it three days. I can't imagine going back to a 4.7" phone now, and when I hold a 5/5s/SE, it feels like a toy.

If after a few days you feel the same way, then return it.

FYI my wife went from the 6 to the 7 plus, and she grabbed her old 6 last night to send herself some pictures from it and said "wow this feels so small now". IMO the size is really easy to adjust to, and the perks are well worth it.
This ^. I went from the 5 to 6 plus. Returned the 6 plus for the 6. Regretted it within a month. It takes some getting used to but the plus has soooo many redeeming features.

It's all about battery life for me.

The iPhone 8 will give us a large screen in a much smaller form factor. That will be nice. I agree the Plus models are too big with lots of wasted space.

If they got rid of the bezels on the iPhone, it would make the plus not seem so unwieldy! But I'm upgrading from an iPhone 6 to a 7 plus. I have been wating to try a plus since it was released with the 6 plus and I'm going for it this time. I have a couple 7 plus cases already and have played with other peoples 5.5" iPhones and granted they are big, but I seemed to be able to use it with one hand. And, I have medium to large hands, but I'm sure I will have a much better idea of how it will fit into my life in 1-2 weeks. I am marking the days on my calendar like a prisoner waiting for their release day! Oh and I like this website for seeing where you can buy an iPhone 7 in your area OP. The 4.7" is really the perfect size iPhone though, good luck deciding

when i first got my Note 4, i was shocked by the size. After 2 years, it seems "normal". I will order the 7 plus next month. Now my wife has the 5s, and has always had the "normal" size iPhone. She gets her 7 plus on Monday (they move the shipping date up a week). She may have the "shock value" :)

It's not the phone. It's ok though. They're not for everyone. :)

Common complaint along with the fact that it sticks out of most pants pockets that's why many are waiting for iPhone 8 Plus redesign that will get rid of the dead bezel space to make the physical size more manageable.

I've never considered the Plus models due to the fact they are huge and totally impractical for my everyday use. I just can't understand how 2 years on Apple have released the Plus yet again with large bezels? The technology and ability is there to slim these devices down and Apple are aware of this. Sort it out! :)

I feel you, I recently got my Plus and just thought what the hell its great at home but for out and about its just crazy, sold it off on eBay and trying so hard to get my hands on a standard 7 now....

Went from 6+ to 7 and I couldn't be happier. Same software. Same usage. Same mobile OS limitations. No way would I want an over-sized phone anymore unless it's a Surface Phone.

I'm curious what sort of pants don't fit the Plus? I made an iPhone Plus-sized cardboard and it fits perfectly in the side pocket of every pair pants I wear regularly.

Are you using rear pockets? I don't put valuable things in rear pockets (too easy to pickpocket) so that may be why. I really want to get a Plus but have a fear of the same issue you do. Might have to rethink things.

I got my wife the 7+. I got my 7 today. I only set hers up and messed around with it a little but I kinda liked the size of the 7+ And now my phone seems small. I'll stick with my 7. But maybe next time I'll consider the + model more seriously. So I'm not sure if I'd like the + in my day to day life. But it looks nice.

Just go to the store and tell them you want to see if it fits in your pocket. They will let you test it out. Be sure to pay for it before leaving the store with it in your pocket.

Ugh I have small hands but I bought the plus because of all the extras
I hope it's not to big for me... I'm so petite

Been rocking 6S+ for an entire year almost. Ordered the 7 plus coming week.

Currently my 6s+ is with Apple and they loaned me a regular 6. Been using the 6 for the last 3 days and have noticed its so easy to carry, read in bed, put in pocket etc

After reading this thread im starting to doubt wether a regular 7 would be better for me untill the 8 comes out.

There are times I find my 6 plus too large. But most of the time I really like the large screen and the better battery life.

There's a difference between trying it out in the store for five minutes and actually carrying it and using it on a daily basis.

I'm likely going to just buy the Plus, and if it doesn't work out, exchange it for the regular 7.

I went from a 6S Plus to a regular 7. I'm glad I did. The iPhone 7's battery life is now on par with my 6S Plus.

Would using the ring for the iPhone plus help? I bought the spigen ring for it. Waiting to test it out. Coming from the iPhone 6 small

Some trousers I own just about fit it inside but none of my jeans do with a good third of the device sticking out. That's not comfortable, practical or safe. I know people could say, 'well buy bigger trousers/jeans' but I haven't worn baggy jeans since the days when they were fashionable. I don't see why I should add to the headache of clothes shopping by trying to find jeans that fit a huge phone, or compromising my appearance. It's easier to get the smaller device which is big enough for a lot of people's needs.
