Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread. You all convinced me to get the camera+ app, and I love it. My only gripe is that it takes a few seconds to load the app, and if it loads directly to the lightbox it takes a few more seconds to return back to the camera menu.

Anyone have any pointers on how to better navigate the app? Is there a way to immediately bring up a photo to edit right after I take the picture?

I like them both a lot! As mentioned, give Pic Grunger a try as well.

Also what is that actually a shot of? Makes for a powerful photo but I have no clue what that thing is

The shot is of my Broken Heart Robot toy inside my wall heater; I live in a little cottage here in South Pasadena that was built in 1947, so they have these funky wall heaters and it just dawned on me that it would be a perfect little "jail" for the sad robot!

Also see my post on the top of page 12 for my Pic Grunger shot. I also have a shot on Flickr that I used Pic Grunger on that I like, but am not brave enough to post it on here funnily enough.

how do you get multiple effects with camera +? when i try to it undo's the first one instead of layering.

Answered by agjake01 before I had the chance... This is exactly what I did, applied the effect, saved it to my Camera roll and then reimported it to Camera+ to add another effect.

You have to save the photo to your photo roll on your phone and then import it again to Camera+. Do this each time you want to overlay an additional filter.

I hope they add the ability to apply multiple effects. Also, I wish they had an adjustment slider to apply the amount of effect you want (like Pic Grunger does.) I kinda wrote a semi tutorial/review of these apps and how I used them on my personal blog here.

I too am cheap when it comes to the apps and also purchased Camera+ and I must say i'm really impressed!

Love this thread. Here are a few of mine... and a screenshot of my camera arsenal.

Pic Grunger

I liked some of the photos in this thread so I got Pic Grunger to add to Camera+. I have set it to "high resolution" but I'm finding that it substantially downsamples images. Anyone else getting this?

To clarify, I've been processing in Camera+, saving to camera roll (result is still the full resolution - after cropping in Camera+ my image was 1707x2006 pixels) then importing into Pic Grunger and processing (result is much lower resolution 681x800 pixels).

Ran into this as well. I shot the developer an email and he said that he's aware and working on a fix to submit to apple.

Picture taken this morning with ip4 and then used PS Mobile to bring down the exposure (wish you could change this when taking a photo). I use the PS Moble app all the time to make small adjustments.

You guys convinced me to buy the Camera+ app. I've been considering it for quite a while. Just played around with it for a few minutes... love it.

You guys were talking about CinemaFX for Video earlier in the thread, it just dropped in price to $0.99. If you were on the fence, now's a good time to grab it. Looks like a good way to upload HD videos to YouTube directly from the phone, too.

DANG! I just purchased it about 10 minutes ago for $1.99... That's my luck :)
