Wow!!!:) Just got a call from my daughters boy friend, and his friend is the GM for our local Apple Store and said that I'm on a special list to just walk in and get six 32 gig iphone 4g's on the 24th, WOW!!!, I'll be ebaying 3 ofthem for a profit $$$$ that morning and will be scalping 2 at the back of the mile long line when I walk out of the store at 7:20 am with all of the phones, WOW!! I'm so excited, I'll be able to get a new MBP with all the goodies from my profits, How much do you think people will pay on opening day, if apple runs out early in the afternoon? I'm going to ask for $2,100.00 for the 32 gig ones.

purplestingers

You just said costumer too, maybe you're him too ? Wait, I just said it, maybe I'm also that same guy ?

There is no proof they are the same, just as we have no proof the various SteveJobs around MacRumors are really or aren't really SteveJobs. In fact, most likely, they aren't the real deal at all. Someone may have just registered a jwagoner account to troll around.

But seriously, you sound like someone who wants a bit of moon based property. PM me, I'll give you rates and my map of available lots. 30 acres with rocky hills sound good to you ? I might still have some Europeen 4 months/year views left.

yeah but on a Apple related forum pretending to be Steve Jobs is one thing, this guy isn't Steve

will you only be satisfied once the guy visits you n person wearing a sign that says 'I am jwagoner' with a full history of his medical bills, savings, work documentation etc, do you look into everyones personal life on the internet this much?.

next time he gets himself on the internet I suggest he screams out 'how he is a hard working patriot who doesn't have fun!, how he is able bodied, not disabled, hard working etc etc..'

Or he could you know, just not mention anything about a job, or lack thereof and any medical conditions which have no link whatsoever to camping out for an iPhone.

Throwing stuff out there results in discussion. What a concept.

that might be a valid point apart from the fact he didn't originally bring it up, it was firstly mentioned by someone else that he was disabled and then people started to jump in with things like "oh noes he must be spending my monies!" and "why is he even doing that!, he is having fun.. oh noes!" etc etc and then I guess he decided it might help if he came in and explained what he could and answer some of it. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

he would not have had to mention all of that if people like you were not trying to pick his story apart so much and now you keep going on about him "saying all that" when he was answering what people like you were throwing at him in the first place, or is he not entitled to answer what you say

:p

Wait, it's in the original post.

Normally I only camp out over night, but since I do not work due to the fact I am disabled with a seizure disorder and I am not in school at the point, I figure I just make it a fun experience and do it for a week.

So I think it was pretty much originally brought up. I know I didn't start anything until I read that nor would I if it hadn't been mentionned. In fact, I wouldn't have even opened the thread. Potential disability fraud sounded entertaining as a discussion topic.

Oh well

Has anyone think about the situation AFTER launchday for Justin?

I think we're living in such a crazy world and have seen so many
crazy stuff that i expect the following:

1.) Apple Inc. will hire him or another company offers a job
2.) He earns much more money
3.) He will get at least one girlfriend
4.) the viral marketing he's running at the moment will boost his
business
5,) He gets a TV show
6.) All this will change his live extremly

Just want to mention that i'm serious here. At least 70% of the 6 points
will happen.

I don't think he has planned all this, but that's life......

not in the other thread, a MR member went to see him, came back with this

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

Nice guy, his name is Justin. He is unemployed and "disabled". (his words). Be nice guys.

Will post more later.

therefore he wasn't the first to bring it it up and after that post the whole "potential disability fraud" accusations started coming, then later on Justin came on and responded to them and explained his side of the story and why he was doing it which I think he is is entitled to do. that post was put into the news thread (this one) and then you jumped to the conclusion he had brought it up for no reason

I read this thread, not any other thread. In this thread, it was brought up in the very first post. Again, he didn't have to mention it, even to the guy who went to see him. He brought it up first because no one else could've known otherwise. His mistake, live and learn, it's now a topic of discussion for this thread.

maybe he was just being friendly and answering honestly when he was asked, eg:

Random Guy: Hey there, *blah blah blah* so how come you are able to spend a week out here?, don't you work?

Justin: I don't work atm, I am disabled

sheesh... its not its out of order if he did tell someone, people/friends of his who have spoken to him have said he is a honest and friendly guy, should he have screamed at them to go away and refused to answer or tell them anything?, I doubt he was expecting to end up on the front page of MR :p

Justin: "Vacation time".

You have no point.

Justin: "Vacation time".

You have no point.

So people should need to not tell others the entire truth in fear of an internet backlash? That is freaking ridiculous. Sorry, but it is.

This guy is just enjoying life, who is anyone here to tell him that he is doing it wrong?

Moreover KnightWRX, lets pretend that this wasn't a forum. Actually, lets pretend that you were standing toe-to-toe with this guy, meeting him face to face and talking to him in person. What if he were to then mention to you that he was disabled. Would you ever consider bashing this guy about how stupid you think he is, how he is taking government benefits and wasting time, etc, to his FACE? I think I know the answer to that.

It takes absolutely no guts to mock someone in anonymity behind a computer screen. If you were discussing this in person I am willing to bet you wouldn't be acting like such a heartless person to him. The internet brings out the worst in people, its really sad and pathetic. Everyone is tough on the internet.

you do realize you've devoted several days and countless hours of your life to keeping this "discussion" going, right?

dude, exercise a modicum of restraint and back away from the computer. go outside, get some fresh air and quit pretending you give two ***** about "potential disability fraud" in a country you don't even pay taxes in.

Yes, I would. I do it all the time. Actually, the conversation would've taken much less time. I would have told him that if he is as disabled as he says, that standing out in the sun for a week might not be the greatest idea. If he said he can do it, I would've then asked what's preventing him from working, etc.. etc..

You don't really know me, but what I type on here and what I say to people's faces is the same thing. We're not all hypocrites that need the cover of anonymity to be honest.

you do realize you've devoted several days and countless hours of your life to keeping this "discussion" going, right?

Hours ? Days ? Takes about 10 seconds per post...

I am not sure why I should reply since you obviously can not read but, this is what he wrote:

"There are also others who have just ASSUMED since I am disabled that I am on disability SSI benefits. I have not once revealed or said anything about that I do. Not everyone with disabilities qualified or receive benefits!"

Notice how he does not deny that he is recieving benifits?

This is it right here. The way our social services are set up, you're basically gong to have to REFUSE the checks if you're officially labeled as disabled. Also, PSEUDOSEIZURES is one of the easiest things to fake and get away with. The few patients in my practice who are on disability due to seizures cannot be left/sit alone for a prolonged period of time due to risk of injury to themselves. The others that aren't on disability have their disease well controlled enough that while they may depend on others to get them to work, are able to hold a decent job.

FML, 10 second posts? you mean you typed all 200 words in this post in just ten easy seconds?!
and 114 words in this post?
and 95 words in this post too?!?!?!
so...you type 1200 wpm?! does that factor in the amount of time it takes to read the posts you reply to? and does that ten seconds include, you know, thinking about what you're gonna say, how you're gonna say it, and all that too?
daaaaaang, dude. what's your secret?

but seriously, just within the last five eeearly morning hours you've posted five times.
it's not even noon yet.
not to mention you still hold the title of Most Posts in This Thread of Anyone Else in This Thread.
you've spent the last five hours of your life posting, checking to see if anyone has responded to your post, replying to those posts, and coming back to check some more (still unable to resist the urge to reply) instead of enjoying what Canada has to offer in the way of, like, the outdoors or something.

still think you don't have a vested personal interest?

So people should need to not tell others the entire truth in fear of an internet backlash? That is freaking ridiculous. Sorry, but it is.

Your point is invalid. He has never told the "entire truth," but rather a string of half-truths:

1) I'm disabled and can't work.
2) Just kidding, I own my own business where I set my own hours/pay.
3) Well, actually it's not a full-time thing and it's failing anyway...

If he had told the ENTIRE truth, there would be no room to criticize the contradictions to his story (assuming the MR poster is actually the person waiting in line).

Wow, and yet I'm the one wasting time. :p You actually counted words in my posts ?

i so did. what can i say? i'm disabled and can't work! what else am i going to do while i camp out for the iphone 4 and fraudulently collect disability comp? ;)

I think it's very interesting that your taking an exaggeration/rough rounding so seriously. You sound like my 10th grade english teacher.

you're in tenth grade? good lord. that explains a lot.
oh ****. is this a perverted justice setup?!?

Why don't you have a seat right there.
I swear, Chris Hanson, I didn't know he was 14!

actually i find that quite endearing. and complimentary. as a young female writer, i've always looked up to teachers, great literary authors and intellectuals...pretty much anyone who still cares about written word and proper english. soooo thank you ;) and p.s. i pull off a pretty hot teacher's fiery redheaded assistant if i put on some glasses :p
