Why are you entitled to a fully subsidized price when you haven't even come near finishing your 24-month contract? Riddle me that.

Bitch all you want but they don't have to do jack.

I get them every ten months...or whenever I ask. It doesn't work like that anymore

AT&T

I'm going to the store tomorrow.
They know who I am there.

Oh goodness....your screen name. They know who you are? I'm guessing they know you as the girl who keeps coming in asking for an early upgrade.

Britbiatch: "But I Waaannnnt one. I know I signed a contract and it says 24 months and you are being really nice giving me an early upgrade option for 250, but mommy got me everything I wanted RIGHT THEN so you better too. If not I'm going to throw a tantrum. Don't try me. My friends can tell you how annoying I am!"

ATT Rep: "how about a Lumia? That lame guy from SNL thought it was the bomb."

Britbiatch: "noooooo. I want the iPhone with the GB's! And I want it Now! Early upgrade for me! No reason, just because I say so!"

ATT Rep: "maybe you should just get a FireFly. Seems right up your alley..."

It's absolutely pathetic that we allow complainers to get what they want in the name of "customer service". I applaud AT&T the more they stick to their rules and tick people off. The only people they're "losing" are people who would do absolutely anything (including lying) to get out of a contract. They don't need customers like that, even if they think they do. By the time they're done issuing courtesy credits and early upgrades it's not worth the time they waste on them.

But I'm sure even when they really tell you to pound sand youll come back bragging how you got it granted.

AT&T bought me a new car because I cried enough. Prove it? Nah, don't want to.

Trust me though, it really happened ;-P

It's the Internet folks. People lie to make themselves feel better about being shot down in real life.

Your MMV, but don't rely on bs that people you don't know tell you about what they "got" when they threatened/lied/cried/pouted to AT&T.

Or get a job and get over it.

I'm sure you're a pious individual yourself.
Calling someone biatch. Not that it bothered me, just that it shows that your hypocrisy.

Anyway, how about you get a job instead of wasting your time preaching and replying to something you don't like.

ok so i called and spoke with a manager who basically told me im S.O.L....
on getting an early upgrade....i was an early adopter on the first iphone and have been upgraded every year so far in purchasing the latest and greatest...

so i was like hmmmm this is impossible....i am going to have to wait till may of next year to get a new phone....not going to happen...called up retention and then with no questions bumped me up to oct.8/12 next month for an upgrade....

the catch is i have to wait till the phone is out instead of pre ordering it and ordering it thru the customer relations dept...

so anyone in the same boat as me call the retention dept.

Maybe I can tell this story to CS
I ordered the 4S online early in the morning. They wouldn't let the credit card go through. It just wouldn't go through. The card wasn't declined or anything. So, to make it short and sweet, the credit card company blames AT&T and vice versa. It was just a mess and AT&T wouldn't admit to their wrongdoings. It looked like we were charged multiple times. AT&T said I might get my iPhone two weeks late because of their screw up but low and behold, it came on time. And then another one came on time... two weeks later. So basically, we took it to the store and the guy took it back but it was a hard time getting rid of the charge on the credit card.
Worth a shot...

Just stop it. You aren't getting an early upgrade. If you want your precious toy so bad, pay the full price like the rest of us and use your 2 year upgrade for the next iPhone. You are is beyond ridiculous.

I don't stop until I get what I want. All it takes is a little gumption.

I don't know how or why or even care but my upgrade eligibility was changed to this year October 27 and I wasn't due for an upgrade till November next year :) Keep in mind this upgrade eligibility is only for an iPhone.

Sure.

I want to be just like you some day.

I don't stop until I get what I want. All it takes is a little gumption.

Wow. Just wow.

The amount of self entitlement in this thread is beyond appalling. These people are fully grown adults, yet they sound like 6 year olds in a toy store saying "But I want it, I want it, I want it."

So I called the retention department and they told me my upgrade was 10/9/12.

So then I call and make sure with CS. They said it was 5/9/13. Then I tell him what retention said. He said he's never heard of systems being wrong. Seriously.

He calls his 4 specialists and they call retention and they come up with retention being wrong and my upgrade date staying at 5/9 and how he sees systems being wrong now.

I'm basically not too happy right now but maybe they're in the process of changing it because some people's dates are changing.

Crybaby! Just pay retail like most of us are going to do. I also see your not getting anywhere with CS, must be your punishment for being a Britney Fan. :D

I'm not surprised at all. The more people that look into your account, the more that could go wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if they screwed up and made your upgrade till sometime next year to teach you a lesson.

It's just sad that you have to spend so much time on forums, on phone calls, in stores, etc, just in order to get AT&T to give you what amounts to an itty-bitty credit card.

Your time must be practically worthless.

I just can't believe they lied to me. I've never gotten the same answer.

Believe me, it's starting to get tiring but I've come this far.

When I started this, I was out of school bored out of my mind but now I actually have things going on.
