Britbiatch: "But I Waaannnnt one. I know I signed a contract and it says 24 months and you are being really nice giving me an early upgrade option for 250, but mommy got me everything I wanted RIGHT THEN so you better too. If not I'm going to throw a tantrum. Don't try me. My friends can tell you how annoying I am!"
ATT Rep: "how about a Lumia? That lame guy from SNL thought it was the bomb."
Britbiatch: "noooooo. I want the iPhone with the GB's! And I want it Now! Early upgrade for me! No reason, just because I say so!"
ATT Rep: "maybe you should just get a FireFly. Seems right up your alley..."
It's absolutely pathetic that we allow complainers to get what they want in the name of "customer service". I applaud AT&T the more they stick to their rules and tick people off. The only people they're "losing" are people who would do absolutely anything (including lying) to get out of a contract. They don't need customers like that, even if they think they do. By the time they're done issuing courtesy credits and early upgrades it's not worth the time they waste on them.
But I'm sure even when they really tell you to pound sand youll come back bragging how you got it granted.
AT&T bought me a new car because I cried enough. Prove it? Nah, don't want to.
Trust me though, it really happened ;-P
It's the Internet folks. People lie to make themselves feel better about being shot down in real life.
Your MMV, but don't rely on bs that people you don't know tell you about what they "got" when they threatened/lied/cried/pouted to AT&T.
Or get a job and get over it.
