Clumsy + Distracted + Pets + Artist + Students + Concrete floors = I always have a case to make the the phone less slithery and choose a case with good corner protection and a lip to protect the screen against face down falls.

My first week with the iPhone 6S, it fell out of my pocket onto the asphalt and slid under my car. (I didn't even notice it fall and only noticed I didn't have it because my Watch was disconnected.)My new phone is unscathed.

no case... I do use a skin though (slickwraps)! I don't want the extra bulk, even of a thin case!

No case for the first time with the 6s. With the 4s I was worried about cracking the back, with the 5s I worried about scratching the chamfers, but the 6s has no specifically fragile design element. Combined with the upgrade program and not needing to sell the device anymore. It's heaven with no case or screen protector getting in the way of things.

Just that damned camera ring...

After switching phones almost every year, I personally feel that with a case, phone lasts longer (personal opinion)

This is like my exact story! (minus the artist part) I even once left my phone on top of my car and drove off and didn't notice til I already went down the road

I always wondered who Otterboxes were aimed at.:D

Actually, I have never owned a OtterBox, it's too big and bulky and ugly... (sorry, to all the OtterBs out there) I actually am using a bumper right now because I really enjoy showing off my RoseGold. And yes, I am super ready for a case.

I've never liked the look of them either but someone, somewhere needs them.:D

Can anyone recommend some good sleeve options that aren't too expensive? I know of Sena, Joli, and most of the more well known ones. Thanks!

I would say I am pretty careful with all my smartphones, I have definitely dropped them before but never from a significant height or on a hard surface. I have yet to severely damage (no scuffs or anything) any device I own for that matter. I am sure there were minute scratches here and there but no damage I can see without intense scrutiny

So yes, you will be fine without a case but it really depends on you. I have never used a case on any of my devices, and only recently adopted screen protectors though I may take it off again. If you are going to go case-less I highly recommend something along the lines of AC+

I love the feeling of my naked iPhone but i drop it like every damn day :( So I am not able to use it without a case...

I love the feel of a naked iPhone, but the case helps me sell it for more later on. Only comes out of its case if I'm in a room I know well, were if did drop it I know nothing

I've carried a cell phone for 8 years and had never dropped a phone and considered myself very careful with my phones. I carried my flip phones in a belt clip, and since going to a 5s Iphone a year ago I have been carrying it mostly in my shirt pocket and in a Magpul Bump case. Yesterday while playing disc golf it flew out of my shirt pocket while standing on the concrete tee pad, dropped about 4 to 5 feet before hitting the concrete, landing on the lower corner of the phone. The phone sustained no damage at all and the case was just scuffed up on the corner. If I had not been using a case it wouldn't have been pretty.

So I watched a Youtube video today, kinda excited to sheare it. Anyone used a BodyGlove?

As far as the camera lens cover goes, it's extremely strong and resistant to scratches, even more so than the screen as some tests have shown. I wouldn't worry about scratching the camera lens cover unless you are purposefully dragging it along jagged rocks.

However, if you are not careful, the body and screen will get scratched from rough handling.

No way I could not do without a case, WAY too slippery for me. I use the Sedio Surface which adds very little in size or weight and has a slightly soft grip like the top of a Thinkpad. My S= went straight into the case from the box when it was new.

I don't like using a case.

I bought a 6s three weeks ago, bought an apple case with it. After a couple of days, I was annoyed by the case so I did without.
After one week my new 6s fell on the ground, tiny scuff on the side. **** happens, I tried the case again. So annoyed by the thickness that I use it without a case again.

I don't mind that it looks "used". My iPhone is an instrument I use so it's there for my convenience. Not a holy grail that I need to keep the resell value up. That 50€-100€ I lose for some extra cuffs are worth it for convenience. I would also save money if I didn't buy a case right away.

And if you add the costs of a case vs the money you lose because there's some scuffs, I don't know if that really is that much money you win.

For me if my iPhone was not in a case I would not have an iPhone. I've dropped both my 5 and 5s while in cases and no damage. I do not want to think about the damage if they had not been in an OtterBox.
