I've never had a case in my life, on any phone. The closest thing I've gotten is having a Gelaskin on my 3GS, more for the look than any illusion of protection. Then again I treat expensive electronics with the same respect I'd treat a tablet or a laptop. So far, no problems.

I hate cases but i feel the rounded edges are to slippery so i run a apple leather case. better safe then sorry

Even though I try to be very careful with my phone, I always go for a transparent silicone case. And I am quite glad that I do. Just yesterday as I was on an escalator, replying to a text, someone behind me accidentally pushed into me and my phone went flying out of my hand. Luckily, thanks to the case, there is not one scratch or dent on it.

Always in a case, it seems there is no level horizontal surface in my apartment and whenever I've set the phone down without a case it always slipped off onto the floor. Even worse when vibrate is on. I also like having a rear skin on the phone and protect it from peeling off with a clear case.

I've tried, but I always go back to using a case. I always think about those crazy nights where I'm out hanging and anything can happen to my phone.

My 6 is pretty slippery without a case on it. My new 6S Plus though, stays in my hand pretty well. The increased weight actually helps with the grip. I only got it yesterday, but I've been running it naked about half the time. I'm just still using a case a lot while I'm in the return period. You never know. As much as I like it, it's big. My hands are craving my little 6, but I'm doing my best to give it a solid week to get used to it.

I believe that Apple makes about the most beautiful smartphones and tablets on the market. However, the cases are aluminum and even though they are anodized they are susceptible to scratching and dents. I look for a case that I think will still allow the unit to look it's best, and it goes into right away.

I always get top dollar when I trade my unit in because it is in such good condition.

As soon as I bought my iPhone 6 I put it in an Apple case. A friend recently bought one and I was reminded how beautiful they are in the nude.

Do any of you let your iPhones live free? Is there a danger of damage to the camera every time you place it on a table? Does it too easily slip from your hand onto the floor?
I wouldn't even consider going without. I'm not clumsy at all but why tempt fate? Plus, your iPhone is an investment that will pay a higher return come sales time.

As soon as I got my 6s Plus, a tempered glass screen protector went on, and a slim, protective case went on.

I work out almost everyday, and I have to take the case off the phone, in order for it to fit in my armband. I'm reminded how it looks. I would never try to go nude with it. My galaxy note 3 was nude, for a while, and it was dropping all over the place. This phone is sleeker than the note 3.

Phone already had its first fall. Forgot it was in my bed with me, and I turned over, the phone had a nearly 3 foot drop. Happy to report there's still not one scratch or problem with it.

But yeah, nude is just asking for it.

I noticed that one of my students uses her iPhone 6 without a case so I asked her about it. She said she couldn't bear to use the case as the phone looked better without it. Which is what I think.

Oh, and that she dropped it two days after deciding to ditch the case and cracked the screen.

I would like to go caseless but I am afraid of scratches appearing. I use a tempered glass screen protector and the Caudabe Veil XT which is paper thin, still shows off the look of the phone perfectly and protects against scrathes.

Cases don't always protect from breaks either. My wife and 3 co-workers all dropped their iPhones and cracked their screens. All 4 of them had cases on as well. It just depends on how it lands and how protective the actual case is.
I have dropped iPhones (5, 5s and 6) and got lucky- no broken screens yet.

I've always been wanting to use the phone without a case since the iPhone 4. Every time I see someone using it without a case I'd admire their courage and the device, though most of the time it's in scratched up and dented condition.

The iPhone 4 forced me to use a case due to the antenna gate which made sure my calls would be dropped every time I'm holding it like a normal person on a phone.

The black 5's scuff gate made it preferable to use the phone with a case, I managed to keep the sides in prestine condition with a bumper but the back suffered discoloration even with a back protector. I still love the slate black of the iPhone 5 over all generations of iPhone.

I used the 5s without a case for one month and discovered a scratch on the back and the apple logo.. It went back into a case immediately. The protruding camera lens of the 6 series made it impossible for me to use it without a case.. Just a week ago I dropped the 6s on the road and the only damage was a scratch on that metal bumper.. I still prefer the look and feel of the phone naked but would only use it that way once in a while and only at home..

I've finally decided to go careless -- on both my iPhone 6+ and my iPad Air 2. They just look so much better and it's such a pity to miss the beautiful styling. I know this is mad, but they also feel like they perform better: the screen feels more responsive, the buttons certainly are (as they're not smothered by a layer of leather). Every time I use my iPhone (which is all the time) I have a little kick of pleasure at how beautiful it is. I just didn't get that with the case.

I'm trying to be hyper-careful with it, though.

I tried twice. First time I dropped the phone while I was waiting for a uber ride, decided not to put a case on there since I've never cracked a screen, only dropped the phone with light scuffs on it. Ended up cracking the screen that day and got it fixed a week later.

The second time was sometime last month, dropped the phone while walking home from school. It wasn't too bad at first so I tried to use it for a month and a half, then pieces of glass started chipping off the screen. Yesterday afternoon I scheduled an appointment with iCracked and got it fixed in my dorm 3hrs later. Phone looks back to normal (except for the scuffs).

I bought the official Apple leather 6 case and I'm 100% happy with it. It was worth it, and I've dropped my phone a few times on concrete, no problems yet. I also have a plastic screen protector on the front.

But yeah, there's nothing I'd change about the official apple leather case, and I'm VERY picky about cases.

I never thought I'd like the Apple cases due to them being open at the bottom. That changed the second that I put the Leather Midnight Blue case on my Silver 6S Plus. I love the way it feels and how sharp it looks with the White front. Hopefully the bottom of my 6S Plus doesn't get all marked up, but it hasn't so far as I've been pretty careful with it.

I personally use a case, although I've seen many that don't. Result varies. I have seen people managed to have theirs almost scratch free, and others that just have paints chipped off etc. Although I am aware about being careful with my phone, I have phones slipping off my hands here and there, and the slippery nature of the rounded edges on my 6S won't help that. So I have a case on mine.

I use my Oneplus One naked though, and only put it in a case to have a card holder.

Always use a case. Love them. They're fun, AND they keep my phone in pristine condition for when I gift it after I get a new one each September.

using the apple silicone case and love it. think and light and really adds to the 'grippiness' of the phone.
Would like to use a screen protector also, but don't like the Zagg and haven't found one thin enough and that is edge to edge to make me get one. Just being extra careful for now.

I'm that guy that always buys cases and screen protectors on release day. After a month I end up going careless and no screen protector lol. The phone just feels much better the way it comes out of the box. Currently rocking my iPhone 6S plus rose gold and been enjoying it naked!

Yes always..
