Those that have Nov 21-28 shipping date, is there a hold on your credit card still?
(20-27 for me) - never had a pre-auth on my card I believe.
Gave myself a bit of excitement though - just checked and there was a $0 visa provisioning dated today....heh....but it was because I nuked my iPhone and Watch and re-added my cards to Apple Pay on them in order to see the WatchOS 4.1 update. :)

So with the Nov 14-21 group getting their phones on the 3rd, us Nov 21 - 28 group may start receiving their phones on the 10th?
There's other groups (in other countries) with windows before ours. I think we're definitely going to be moved ahead, but I don't think we're next.

Edit: There's another thread for the 17-24 group in the US....they should be before us.

Ah I see, i thought it may be country specific. But I am glad that the delivery dates get bumped up!

Heh, it's anyone's guess. The US Carriers got a pretty ridiculous allotment, so people were ordering after us and still getting the 11/3 date.

It's entirely possible that we could go ahead of them, but I figure if that was the order that Apple had planned, they would have given us a sooner window already.

.....for the Nov 21-28 people
Not for Nov 3. Maybe next week or the week after.

Mine was set for delivery Nov 14-21 here in Canada, but it just changed to preparing to ship with a Nov. 3 delivery date!
I just received an email from capital one saying a transaction was made from credit card.
And I checked if I my deliv date was bumped up or not.

Preparing to ship & delivers 3rd nov
Congrats Steve and Shabaz! I think I'm in good shape possibly lol

I mean at this point, the number of people who could be ahead of me is likely in the single digits, I'm hoping there's another update to stock/inventory before Friday, heck even on Friday.

Anybody with Capital One and had their transaction disappear? I called Capital One they told me to confirm with Apple. Apple said everything this fine on their end and shouldn't delay the order (fingers crossed) I have a delivery for nov 3rd as well.

Charge on card is "gone", however the credit available has still stayed the same when I paid for the iPhone, not too sure what's happening.

Question for walk-ins for Nov 3, and reservation for Nov 4

NOT counting those pre-order Nov 3 in-store pickup, how can Apple have enough stock for all those walk-ins on Friday AND have enough stock for those who reserve on Nov 4 for pickup?

I'm very confused

The walk-ins and the reservations are two different “pools” of stock

First off: There is no guarantee whatsoever that stock will be available for reservation on Nov 4. Only that the reservation system will reopen. That being said... I’m betting the extent of walk-in sales on Nov 3 will be limited to everyone in line at 8:00 am.

No one who walks in after the line has been dealt with, will be able to buy a phone on Nov 3. The “leftover” will be available for reservation Nov 4.

I have no exact proof this will happen... but I’m fairly sure it will happen this way. I was nowhere’s near the head of the line at 6 & 6+ launch. I didn’t go home with a plus... but I did go home with a 6.

Tl;dr : You should be able to go home with something. As long as you’re not 200+ in line.

I do not have Capital One, however my charge also disappeared (It was a temp charge to see if the funds were actually available) and I did call Apple and they said it all looks good in my end. My assumption is that they will actually charge your card once it ships it and since Canada has almost seen no noticeable progress yet, the charge is temporarily gone. I notice that my credit limit is still the same after I bought the iPhone I don't think this will be a issue at all.
