Oh my god, i was like WTF PHONE SHIPPED already with Nov 15-22 ship date!!!?!?!?!?!

It gave my hope, then i saw it's your case -_-

I wish it was my phone. 🙄😛

That’s why it’s important to read the whole post. It’s almost cruel my case will be phone-less for a week. 😉

Did anyone call their Apple Store and asked if they will have extra iPhone X for walk-ins at 8am on Nov 3?

I know I read an article on Macrumors saying Apple got iPhone X in stock at stores for launch day, but could it be US stores only?

That would be the biggest dick move of all time. Imagine all those people waiting in the cold, only to find out it was US stores only.

There will be something... but that something is what you’ll never get an honest answer over. In theory there should be more stock than in years past. There were 15 different models a store had to carry last year. This year... only 4 models. I find it hard to believe that the production issues with Face ID, would be more severe than having to produce “enough stock” of 15 colour combinations.

Plus: the phone starts at $1319. Not exactly chump change. You should only see diehard fans and *shudders* some scalpers in line.

I’m wondering if they have the phones in the US already at Apple’s distribution center?

As I still haven’t gotten a tracking number and mines to arrive Friday. (Apples site states prepairing to ship)

With my 7 I was able to track from China and had a launch day delivery.

We know a bunch are still in ZhengZhou, China (where Foxconn is located). We've been waiting for there to be updates to peoples' tracking to figure out which flight they'll be on. BUT - Apple does also have some stock in the US and elsewhere already. We saw a few US orders have their phones allocated out of that stock. (I suspect it's mostly for the in-store walk-in stock).

If you want to try to find your UPS tracking number, you need to do a reference search on the UPS tracking site.
- change the date range to include November 3rd
- fill in the country and your postal code
- do to searches - one with your phone number as the reference, one with your order number (less the last two digits)

If Apple actually hasn’t shipped the Nov 3rd phones yet from China by tonight then I’m beginning to doubt launch day delivery. Last year the iPhone 7 was trackable on UPS for us Canadians. Unless Apple has a stockpile of the phones in Canada already.

Everyone that has an 11/3 date will get their phones on 11/3. No need to panic. If UPS wanted to, they could have a plane leave China Thursday morning and still have all of the phones delivered by EOD Friday. We've seen them do it before.

Now, will they wait that long? I'm thinking not likely. They're not going to cut it shorter than they need to.

Tried those and nothing comes up. 🙁

I hope so, time is ticking for Friday delivery.
Lots of time. UPS only really needs a couple of days. Thursday morning would be cutting it close....if it's that late, they really have to pull out the stops. (especially for those further away from Hamilton).

What’s strange is UPS My Choice users should be notified when a label is created. That’s yet to happen!
Did that ever work for you? I've had a My Choice account setup for a few years now...only time I've ever gotten any notifications from UPS is when I had their app setup on my phone. Doesn't seem all that useful.

What I'd like to see them do is take a page from Uber - map out the drivers routes and give notifications when the driver is so many minutes out with your package (so that way you're not waiting around for them all day.....to only miss them when you give up and run out quick to run an errand). 🙂

This would be too easy for criminals looking to rob a UPS truck full of brand new iPhones. 😛

I have tried this as well for my X and nothing happens. So for a test I tried it for my iPhone X case which is showing as shipping (It is "Order Processed Ready for UPS") and still no luck.

No, no, no!! 🙂 I don't mean that they give US the map of the routes - only used internally. The route map allows their system to send out ETA notifications. We would just get the notification saying "Your package is X minutes away"

Order Processed Ready for UPS means UPS hasn't picked it up yet - so there shouldn't be any tracking yet. When they do, you should get an origin scan.

Edit: I just took a look at the tracking log that was posted over in the main thread here: #4910
When the UPS driver does the origin scan, that's usually when the "Ready for UPS" line gets written to the tracking log (even though it was ready earlier). That would be the time that they would have printed the label. (which I think is how Fedex records it in their tracking).

When the 7+ came out, I had the day off and literally spent the day at home waiting for it to arrive. I was probably the last route of the day... Didn't get it till about 530pm or 6. Started to lose hope. An ETA would be awesome. Would have saved me from doing nothing the entire day

What UPS needs is something like the new Amazon Key service that allows them to unlock the door and place the package in your home.

You're gonna allow some delivery driver in your home? Unsupervised? Heh....not for me. 🙂
Check it out.

As part of the service you have a camera inside the house and the driver has to get permission from you via app on your cell phone. It's probably too complicated for occasional users like me (once or twice a year when Apple updates my toys)but if you are getting regular deliveries it could work.

Just saying.

That's pretty sweet!! 🙂 I'd want a smart lock that works with NFC though (Apple Watch and the iPhone)....and supporting multiple PINs....and auditing, so I know when the PINs are used. 🙂

For those scheduled for Friday delivery... anyone shipped yet? Will they be coming from China to Canada? Shouldn't we see movement if so??

Panic mode has clearly set in 😀

I'm located in Southern Ontario, ordered a 256 Black. I have the 20-27 delivery. You? I'm curious on this slight difference in deliveries too.

Mine is silver 64GB might be the 256 and 64 variants have different shipping times
[doublepost=1509464198][/doublepost]Seeing all these videos about the iPhone X on YouTube makes me wish mine came in on release
